After a multi-year hiatus, Ukraine is reviving the large-scale children's football tournament "School Ball" — an updated version of the "Leather Ball," which raised generations of Ukrainian footballers.

The tournament aims to engage millions of children in playing football and become another tool for developing a healthy and active generation.

Teams from general education schools will participate, and on the field will meet boys and girls born in 2013 and younger.

The initiative to revive the tournament was taken by the Association of Amateur Football of Ukraine together with the Ukrainian Football Association, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

"School Ball" is a multi-level competition system that covers the entire country, from school matches to a grand final in June.

The final games will be broadcast on the UAF YouTube channel, and participants — children — can look forward to many interesting events and gifts.
