The project "Inclusive Football Sections" by the Ukrainian Association of Football and the Cherkasy Oblast Association of Football has been completed in the city of Cherkasy. The project was implemented in the inclusive group "Champions for Life" at the municipal-sports club "Dnipro" (Cherkasy).

"Children with disabilities have the opportunity to attend classes on a regular basis and improve their physical abilities and skills, most importantly, they are improving their health. During training, they work with qualified coaches who have experience in sports and rehabilitation - Natalia Kulynych, Tetiana Korol and Mykhailo Yakunin."

With the equipment provided by the Ukrainian Association of Football within the framework of the "Inclusive Football Sections" project, we conduct a variety of exercises with elements of football, active and recreational games, and relays at trainings.

The club also involves athletes from the municipal-sports club "Dnipro" as volunteers, which is an additional incentive for children.

The mother of one of the participants notes that her son really enjoys participating in the "Champions for Life" group: "Because, besides physical activities, my son has an opportunity to communicate with other children during trainings. I would like to thank all parents and organizers of this project."

"It is worth noting that such projects and initiatives are very important for children who spend a lot of time in bomb shelters due to air raid alerts at the moment. Thank you to municipal-sports club "Dnipro" and Ukrainian Association of Football for implementing this project in Cherkasy region. The Cherkasy Oblast Association of Football always supports the popularization and development of children's football and sports in general.

The next point on the geography of the project in Cherkasy region will be the city of Shpol, where classes will take place at a local DYSK," - noted Deputy Head of the Cherkasy Oblast Association of Football Oleksandr Kochergin.

Main goals of the UAF project:

- to improve the psycho-emotional and physical state of children with disabilities and special educational needs through their involvement in sports activities of the project and socialization;

- to change society's attitude towards people with disabilities and children with special educational needs;

- to provide access to inclusive sports training;

- to unlock the potential of children;

- to unite children and adults, regardless of physical and mental development characteristics;

- to motivate all children in mass football, regardless of abilities, gender, social issues;

- to activate local communities through intersectoral networks (teachers, coaches, psychologists, parents, youth leaders, local government, patrons etc.).

Thanks to the UAF, children's football uniforms, balls and necessary sports equipment are provided.
