Head coach of the French national team Didier Deschamps shared his impressions of the results of the European qualification draw for the 2026 World Cup.

According to the draw results for the European qualifier of the 2026 World Cup, the Ukraine national team qualified for Group D, where they will play against the quarter-finalists of the Nations League-2024/2025 France — Croatia, as well as Iceland and Azerbaijan.
The coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, commented on the draw results, reports the official website of the FFF.
«We have seven potential opponents, three in one group and four in another, all with different playing styles. Many people find it difficult to understand the draw procedure. Compared to what was before, visibility is lower, but adaptation is necessary. We are not going to adjust our quarter-final Nations League lineup to end up in a group with five or four teams», — said Didier Deschamps.
