In their previous games, under the guidance of head coach Mykola Kostenko, Ukraine defeated Lebanon (6:1) and Saudi Arabia (6:1), securing their spot in the Euro Beach Soccer League 2024 semifinals. Today's clash against the United Arab Emirates, who also won their two group games, determined the winner of Group B.

The first period saw a competitive game with numerous chances for both teams. In the 6th minute, Andriy Potapov scored a brilliant low shot from midfield to give Ukraine the lead. However, a minute later, Walid Beshir equalized with a spectacular shot. Additionally, in the final minute of the period, the UAE was awarded a penalty which Ahmed Beshir converted effortlessly, making it 1:2.

At the start of the second 12-minute period, a penalty was awarded to Ukraine, which Dmytro Voitenko successfully converted. The 15th minute proved especially fruitful for Ukraine, with Oleg Shchytnyk scoring from a tight angle and Maksym Voitok delighting the crowd with a bicycle kick, bringing the score to 4:2.

In the third period, Ukraine extended their lead. In the 28th minute, Ihor Levchenko lobbed the Emirati goalkeeper from midfield. Ukraine secured a 5:2 victory, topping Group B.
