The 2024 European Students' Games are being held in Debrecen and Miskolc, Hungary. It is precisely the former city that will host the stages of the football and futsal tournaments.

Football

In men's competitions, the team from Kyiv's DTEU emerged victorious. Under the guidance of Oleksiy Yatsenko, they easily defeated Albania's Fan Foli University — 4:0.

Overall, sixteen teams are participating in the football tournament for men, and other opponents of the blue-and-yellow team will be Orleans University from France and Jyväskylä University from Finland.

In turn, girls from Pavel Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University are preparing to start their 7-a-side tournament. Nine teams are participating in the competition, and among the opponents of Vladimir Shcherbina's wards will be Rennes University from France, Würzburg University from Germany, and Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Futsal

Girls from Kyiv's M. Dragomanov University also managed to start successfully. Under Oleksandr Ratych, they confidently defeated Portugal's Minho University with a score of 4:1. Tomorrow in the direct match against Tampere University from Finland, Ukrainians will fight for first place in their group. In total, twelve teams are participating in the tournament.

Tonight, boys from IFFKCFV NUFVSU will start their battle. There are eighteen participants in the tournament, and Ivanofrankivsk's team has five opponents.

Overall, Yuri Ivashyshyn's wards will play four matches: against Gdansk University from Poland, Azerbaijan State Academy, Eötvös Catholic University from Hungary, and Kiel University from Germany.

It should be noted that all Ukrainian representatives received the first seeding number due to their high ranking at the draw.
