Arriving at 7 a.m. by train to the Polish city of Przemysl, the delegation of the national team went through passport control and then reached the airport in Rzeszow by bus.

This is the usual route from Kyiv to the preparatory camp of the blue-yellow team, which is well-known to almost all the players, except those who play for European clubs. For Oleksandr Zinchenko, who arrived in Ukraine a few days earlier to participate in the summit of United24 ambassadors, the train journey was somewhat nostalgic, as he hadn't traveled by rail for 11 years. Ultimately, in the comfortable National Team Car, as named by Ukrzaliznytsia, and in the company of teammates from the national team, any journey is pleasant and comfortable.

The flight from Rzeszow to Nuremberg took less than two hours. Bavaria welcomed the Ukrainians with light rain. As for the host of the friendly match, the German Football Association (DFB) offered to provide a bus to pick up the guests right at the airport. The offer was gratefully accepted by the national team staff, so the players and personnel simply walked from the plane to the vehicle, which took the delegation to the hotel in the town of Herzogenaurach, 25 km from Nuremberg.

It is in this small town, known worldwide thanks to the irreconcilable rival brothers and founders of two global sportswear companies, Adi and Rudi Dassler, that the Ukrainian national team will spend the next six days in training camp.

Simultaneously with the arrival of the core team, head coach Serhiy Rebrov and nearly all the national team players participating in the European championships checked into the hotel for lunch. Roman Yaremchuk was the first to arrive the evening before, followed by Ruslan Malinovskyi early this morning. Artem Dovbyk is expected to join the team tomorrow, while Andriy Lunin will arrive in a few days.

Today marks the commencement of the blue-yellow team's first training session, scheduled to take place at the training camp held at the club stadium of SC Eltersdorf—a local amateur club competing in the Bayernliga, Bavaria's second-tier league.

The Ukrainian national team begins preparations for the final tournament today, May 30. On June 3, the team will play a friendly match against the hosts of EURO 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany. Kick-off is at 21:45 Kyiv time.

The next day, the team will fly to Warsaw, Poland. In the capital of the neighboring country, Ukraine will play its next preparatory and friendly match against Poland on June 7. Kick-off is at 21:45 Kyiv time.

The final match before the pre-tournament camp will be against the Moldovan national team on June 11 in Chisinau, Moldova. Kick-off is at 19:00 Kyiv time.

On June 12, the national team will arrive at their permanent base for EURO 2024 in Wiesbaden.
