President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about phone calls with the Prime Minister of Albania and the President of the UAE as well as honoring Ukrainian heroes.

Today we continued our tradition — a new tradition, but already completely familiar and organic, the tradition of honoring Ukrainian heroes and presenting apartments to Heroes of Ukraine and their families. Today I had the honor of issuing certificates for another 30 apartments. To servicemen of the Armed Forces, National Guard, Border Service, as well as the family of a State Emergency Service of Ukraine worker. All are absolutely deserving. Absolutely worthy heroes. Soldiers who distinguished themselves in battles in Hostomel and other cities and villages of Kyiv region, on the east of our country, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv regions. In Donetsk and Luhansk regions. On the south — defending Kherson. Heroes of Ukraine — pilots, helicopter pilots who delivered necessary weapons and ammunition to besieged Mariupol in extremely risky and difficult missions, rescued the wounded. Thanks to this, Mariupol held out.

Today I honored army aviation pilots who carried out this mission alongside GUO soldiers. Each Hero of Ukraine has their own personal story of bravery, individual results that Ukraine will always remember and write about. I thank each family of our heroes, all our servicemen. It is a source of pride when such people exist in the country, and it is an opportunity for our nation — everyone who fights for Ukraine, helps, strengthens our defense and security forces. Everyone saves Ukraine and Ukrainians.

Today I held two phone calls. Albania, Prime Minister Edi Rama. Thanked him for his unwavering and principled support of Ukraine, for a clear and always noticeable political position regarding every challenge that exists now. We discussed our cooperation in international institutions. In particular, it was very useful for the defense of international law, to maintain healthy common sense in international institutions when Albania voted in the UN Security Council. Albanian representation has always morally and honestly reacted to streams of Russian lies in the UN. And it is important that an honest voice always responds to Russian disinformation. Today we discussed with Prime Minister Pan a broadening of our dialogue on Ukraine — Balkans level.

The second call today during the day — President of the United Arab Emirates. Special emphasis — our gratitude for mediation in the release of captives. Such work never stops for a single day — we are always looking for ways, always seeking effective mediation. And this applies to all our captives — soldiers and civilians, defenders of Azovstal, and all other Ukrainian military personnel, defenders. The process is very complex, very sensitive. But the task remains unchanged: we must free all our people, bring back all captives home. Apart from this topic, of course, we talked about bilateral relations, about possibilities for support to Ukraine in various fields from the Emirates. Last week we received a batch of generators, and this is one example of how you can help Ukraine's resilience. This is important humanitarian work. I informed both His Excellency President of the Emirates and Prime Minister Pan of Albania about our global work regarding Peace Formula, preparation for Global Peace Summit. This is a common interest to all around the world who value stability and predictability, so that the Global Peace Summit has results, so that international law works again fully.

Now through the grace of Russian leaders for every nation in the world — period of uncertainty and danger. The world hears more often and is convinced that there may be even more wars ahead. But we have the power to stop this. We have the power to protect normal life. The world has this power. And it must work now — it must stop Russia. I am grateful to everyone who helps. Thank you all who defend Ukraine, who work for Ukraine and who remember: the main task — give our country every opportunity to expel occupiers. We will definitely do this.
