President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, announcing the creation of an artillery coalition within our defensive format "Ramstein" and the necessity to block Russia's sanctions circumvention routes.
Greetings, dear Ukrainians!
Briefly about today.
A very positive and truly inspiring conversation with President of France Macron.
Thanked him for the creation of an artillery coalition within our defensive format "Ramstein" and for France's readiness to supply Ukraine with dozens of "Caesars," highly effective artillery systems, along with ammunition this year.
We will also continue to strengthen our air defense. Thank you, France, for strong decisions.
Of course, today we discussed the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine — details now, perspectives. Accordingly — what needs to be included in a new defense package that France is preparing.
And, besides all this, we discussed working with France regarding security guarantees for Ukraine. We are preparing a bilateral agreement.
Emmanuel, Mr President, thank you once again.
We continue our communication with partners and regarding sanctions against Russia — their full implementation. All of our diplomatic representatives must become more active in order for the partners to react more actively to each case of sanctions circumvention by Russia.
This is not just an abstract issue — it's about how a state-terrorist produces weapons, including missiles. Dozens of critically important components are produced abroad and outside the Russian Federation in many cases. Today there was a relevant report from Head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service Oleksandr Litvinenko. Clear facts. So blocking Russia’s sanctions circumvention routes — this is literally blocking terror. I am grateful to all partners who understand this, and everyone around the world who helps us with appropriate work.
I held a meeting today with our Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal as well. First of all, it's about energy, protection, and capabilities of our power system. Consumption is currently high, threats from the enemy are extremely serious, but professional work by both our energy workers and those responsible for protecting energy facilities allows us to provide the country with light and heat. And this is significant. Also today there was a separate report on the protection of strategic energy objects. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov gave the presentation.
The Prime Minister also reported today about the situation in our financial system. The situation is stable, social payments are fully covered. And at the same time — no emissions. By the way, I would like to thank all taxpayers in our country — each and every one who supports jobs, ensures production, works legally and honestly. Last year we had — despite the war — economic growth of 5%, and an increase in tax payments that matches the economic growth. This is a clear sign of Ukraine's strength. And the state truly appreciates everyone who, amidst all difficulties, works, pays taxes, thereby supporting our ability to protect the country and its independence.
A separate report by the head of government on fortification construction. The work continues, and my gratitude goes out to everyone involved. Results — such as we need.
Glory to all who defend our country, who fight for Ukraine and work actively to ensure that in Ukraine, Ukrainian companies, and Ukrainians get the necessary results!
Glory to Ukraine!»
