To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00 on November 2, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred seventeenth day of the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of warfare, employs tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, conducts artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers not only on military but also on numerous civilian objects in our country.

During the past day, 57 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out five missile and seventy-five air strikes, conducted fifty-six artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers against positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air strikes hit Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, Kurilivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Chernenka Kharkiv Oblast; Seredynske Forest Administration Luhansk Oblast; Verkhnyokamyanske, Viimaka, Spirene, Vesele, Ivanivske, Kalynove, Novoaleksandrivka, Semenivka, Orlivka, Lastochkine, Avdiivka, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka Donetsk Oblast; Novoselivka, Novodanilivka, Robotyne Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Novokayri, Chervoniy Mayak, Novoberislav, Berislav, Kozatske, L'vove, Ivanivka Kherson Oblast.

More than 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions around the populated areas of Synikivka, Ivanivka Kharkiv Oblast and Stelmakhivka Luhansk Oblast, where our defenders repelled ten attacks by the enemy.

On the Lyman direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.

On the Bakhmut direction, occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to restore lost positions near Khromovyi, Klyshchyivka and Andriyivka. Here our defenders repelled fifteen attacks by the enemy. At the same time, the invaders conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the southern part of Donetsk Oblast. In turn, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating at the reached positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavriya» on the Avdiivka direction, under air support, the enemy does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka, but our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on occupiers. Unsuccessful were offensive actions by the enemy in the areas of populated places Severne and Pervomaiske Donetsk Oblast, where the defenders repelled seven attacks.

On the Mariinka direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault actions around Mariinka Donetsk Oblast. Here Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than twenty attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Staromayorsk Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to carry out an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupiers in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on the Kherson direction, our soldiers conduct counter-battery fire, inflicting artillery strikes on the rear areas of the enemy.

During the past day, aviation of the Armed Forces carried out nine strikes against areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, weapons and military hardware, and three — against air defense missile systems of the enemy.

Units of rocket forces hit five radar stations, two ammunition depots, an area of concentration of personnel and equipment, weapons and military hardware, two command posts, three air defense missile systems and eleven artillery units of the enemy.
