President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the work being done to provide our soldiers with more PPO and about the visit of a special representative of the President of the United States for issues related to restoring our country.

It was a busy day.

Today is significant – it’s already the 600th day of full-scale war – and today, a special representative of the President of the United States for issues related to restoring our country, Penny Pritzker, visited Ukraine. An important signal – such a visit on this particular day. A good meeting.

We managed to discuss all those questions that directly affect life in Ukraine. Protection of our energy infrastructure, especially this winter. Macroeconomic financial support. Reconstruction. Investment protection from war risks. Attracting private business.

Each of these areas – is an element of the overall structure. A structure that ensures normal living for our people and cities. As much as possible now. We are working to give our soldiers more PPO. To provide more protection to cities so that life, especially economic life, is preserved there. Plus developing our industries, particularly defense industries.

All of this together preserves our resilience. All of this together adds strength to Ukraine. And I am grateful to each of our partners – all those who are helping. To all whose support programs are long-term. To all who understand that this is a marathon, and in a marathon you have to maintain the right pace throughout, calculate your strength and clearly see that the finish line must be victory.

I held several phone calls today. With the President of Finland and with the Prime Minister of Canada. The situation on the battlefield. Support for our defense. A peace formula. We are continuing to prepare a new meeting in the format of national security advisors. I am grateful both to Mr. President of Finland, and to Mr. Prime Minister of Canada for their constant and principled attention to Ukraine, for their sincere belief in Ukraine and its people.

We also discussed the situation in the Middle East. Preventing further escalation. And helping people, protecting people. It is important that what happens in the Middle East does not escalate into an even greater catastrophe.

And our soldiers. Gratitude every day. Soldiers of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, "seventy-nine" DSHV, artillerymen of the 55th brigade. Thank you, boys, for your strength! For such destruction of Russian occupiers as Ukraine needs. And also – paratroopers of the 82nd separate brigade and soldiers of the 148th separate artillery brigade DSHV. I thank you for your courage and effectiveness in offensive actions. Every step we take is important. Every enemy loss makes sense. Thank you!

And separately – our intelligence. Fighters of the special unit "Kraken" of the Main Intelligence Directorate, who are defending the area around Kupyansk. Thank you, boys! Thank you for your strength and effectiveness!

Today I signed new decrees on awarding soldiers state awards. Throughout the entire time of this war – full-scale war – already more than 60 thousand Ukrainians have been awarded for their participation in battles for the country. This is truly full-scale bravery. Courage, whose roots are in the character of our people. In a character that does not surrender. In a character that will win. Definitely.
