This tournament is a charitable event aimed at supporting wounded Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen. The funds collected during the games will be used to purchase medical equipment and medicines for Ukraine's defenders.

In the games organized by the Ukrainian Football Association and the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers with the support of IA "Center News," eight teams traditionally participated — UAF, VAFP, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Patrol Police, Union of Ukraine's Defenders, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, FC "Maestro" and a team of Ukrainian journalists.

Among those who greeted the participants of the traditional tournament and wished them success in football battles were honorary guests: first vice-presidents of UAF Anatoliy Demianenko and Oleg Protasov, president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers Igor Gatullin, as well as head coach of Ukraine's national team Serhiy Rebrov.

" I congratulate you on the upcoming Independence Day of Ukraine! I wish each of you bright emotions from the games. Today we have an opportunity to dedicate our time to football thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, so I urge everyone to contribute to the future victory of Ukraine and the liberation of our territories from occupiers," — Oleg Protasov addressed participants at the beginning of the football event.

Also, players and fans greeted with applause the team of Union of Ukraine's Defenders. "This is already the sixth tournament dedicated to defenders of Ukraine who are defending our Motherland and giving us the opportunity to play football. And it is special thanks to the team formed from servicemen who have been holding off the occupiers on the front since the beginning of Russia's full-scale military invasion," — Igor Gatullin noted.

All participants were divided into two groups of four teams each and played three matches within a round-robin system in the format of two halves of 15 minutes.

The first place in Group A was taken by the team of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which scored seven points based on three games, leaving behind teams from UAF, National Police, and Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

In Group B, the VAFP team achieved a 100% win record against teams from the Ukrainian Journalists' Team, FC "Maestro," and Union of Ukraine's Defenders.

In the match for third place, FC "Maestro" won a decisive game against UAF — 7:2, while in the final meeting, VAFP players proved stronger than representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports — 3:1.

Champions, prize winners, and participants of the football event received cups, medals, certificates for participation, as well as football balls from first vice-presidents of UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko and Oleksiy Mykhaylichenko.

Individual award winners were also determined:

best goalkeeper — Oleksandr Fotyuk (VAFP);

best defender — Oleksiy Myronov (FC "Maestro");

best half-back — Volodymyr Verkhov (Ministry of Youth and Sports);

best forward — Anastasiia Klipchachenko (UAF);

best player — Valentyn Matviychuk (VAFP).
