President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about his working visit to Donetsk and the most pressing issues at the front.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians,

Today from early morning - in Donetsk region, among our combat brigades. The 3rd and 5th separate storm brigades, "Eighty" DSHV, the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade, the 22nd and 24th separate mechanized brigades, the 26th separate artillery brigade, the 92nd separate mechanized brigade... I had the honor to award the best, thank everyone - each brigade for bravery, courage, results for Ukraine. Together with General Bogomoletz, commander of OTRU "Solodar", we spoke with brigade and battalion commanders - those who are in battle - about their frontline needs.

There is always a general picture, reports on each direction, each brigade. But it's important to talk directly with the soldiers, without intermediaries, about the war experience of those who are at the positions. Today these were detailed, frank conversations. About our offensive actions, about supplies to the army, about the possibilities of commanders and what they should be.

Weapons and ammunition shortages. Repairing equipment. A pressing issue - transport for evacuating wounded and evacuation time. Drones - what the enemy uses: "lancets," "orlans." And what our soldiers need: from "Maviks" to every other drone system. Clearly, Ukrainian drone production such as "Leleks," "Furies," etc., as well as supplies from partners, all forms of import - must increase, and this is one of the most important tasks. It's very important that everyone in the defense system take on this task exactly as it is stated at the front. Drones are expendable material; there should be as many as needed - by our soldiers - to save lives and ensure results in battle. There is much work to be done in this area, and it's too early to say that enough is being done.

An important topic is how commanders can manage personnel. Motivating soldiers, training fighters, staffing units. A lot of problems due to poor work by the VLS... Military commanders should be dealing with war, not bureaucracy. We will prepare solutions.

Another thing that was heard in various brigades today.

Soldiers from the front who come to rear cities deserve to see and feel what these are - rear cities. That people there live, remembering that soldiers are here, that our soldiers on Donetsk, other fronts fight for Ukraine, they give their lives for Ukraine. Freedom and independence is not won by someone there... There at the front. This is a common national cause of all who fight and work for victory. Everyone is at war. Ukraine is at war. And those who do not fight at the front must help those who are fighting. Not in bars, not in clubs, not racing on streets or some showy consumption, but with concrete help to soldiers. This is the least. All of the country's adrenaline, all emotions of the country, all strength of the country should be there - in battles for the state.

For Ukraine - this is the main principle. For anything else or for oneself - that will come later when we win. But now - defense. Now war.

By the way, I thank the United States today for a new package. Shells for "Patriots," for "HIMARS," artillery, "Javelins" and more. Very necessary things. There will be even more of our work with partners for defense soon.

Thank you to everyone - all who help constantly! Glory to all our soldiers! Glory to our strong people! And thank you to our Donetsk for this day.

Glory to Ukraine!"
