President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the need for our citizens to have only two personal lines of behavior and about the heroism of Ukrainian doctors and nurses.

"Dear Ukrainians,

Today Russian occupiers brutally struck at Kherson region. There are fatalities, there are injured.

At 4 AM — they shelled the village of Velytenesk. A house caught fire. An injured young man is now in intensive care with serious injuries.

At around 9 AM — an attack by occupiers on the village of Shiroka Balka. With artillery. Five fatalities. Among them a baby girl, only 22 days old. Her brother, who was just 12 years old, managed to be taken to the hospital. Sadly, they could not save him. He died from his severe injuries. His mother — whose name was Olesya and she was only 39 years old — also perished. My condolences...

Around the same time, there was shelling of the village of Stanislav. Two people were injured, two killed. Men — aged 71 and 57.

Overall, since the beginning of today alone until around 6 PM, there have already been 17 reports of shelling from Kherson region alone. And also — Mykolaiv region, Zaporizhzhia, Donbas, Kharkiv region, border areas with Russia in northeastern regions.

Everywhere our soldiers are responding to occupiers' terror. There is no day when Russian evil does not receive a fully justified response from us.

Each destroyed occupier, every unit of burned Russian equipment, fire in place of their headquarters and warehouses, heavy smoke on the Kerch Bridge and elsewhere — all this is evidence that we will not leave any crime of Russia unanswered. And each soldier of ours who gives Ukraine results at the front line — across the entire front from Kharkiv region to Kherson region — every soldier has the ability to bring justice back to Ukraine.

There can only be two personal lines of behavior now — either you fight for Ukraine, or you help those who are fighting, helping save lives.

Today we have reason to thank the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade — for their steadfastness and results in battles on the Kupyansk direction. Well done, soldiers! Strongly.

The First Battalion of the 67th Independent Mechanized Brigade, also Kupyansk direction — heroic and brave actions. Thank you!

Paratroopers of our glorious "seventy-ninth" on Mariupol direction — thank you, soldiers!

Melitopol and Berdyansk directions — thank you to every soldier who gives Ukraine the necessary results!

Bakhmut direction — well done, guys!

Every time we have reason to thank our soldiers, Ukraine gets closer to justice, closer to victory. And Russian killers on our land — closer to destruction.

And only thus can we create the conditions for all of Ukraine to become free and safe again.

Russian terrorists must feel one thing — they will be destroyed.

And also, with every report about shelling and injuries to our people — stories of heroism by our Ukrainian doctors and nurses working in frontline areas.

I thank all our medical workers for saving lives despite everything!

Today I would like to highlight those who have shown the most in helping people in Kherson region.

"Emergency" Kherson: a doctor from the department of emergency medicine Pavlo Dziuba and paramedic Vitaliy Bryukhov — both dispatched to Kherson region from Sumy city to strengthen efforts.

The Ukrainian people are extraordinarily brave and heroic. We know that freedom is priceless, and we know how to defend it. We know how to save lives. And we must remember that every day should bring results in the defense of Ukraine. No wasted days! On the front line, in frontline areas, everywhere behind the lines and from everyone — this is very important! — from every diplomatic representation of Ukraine.

Weapons for our soldiers, support for our state, legal responsibility for Russian terrorists. Ukraine will definitely win!

But this will be a joint result. Of all those who fight and work for Ukraine.
