To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 8, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred and thirty-first day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out seven missile strikes and 42 air raids, conducted 66 attacks with multiple rocket launchers on our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians, residential buildings and other infrastructure have been destroyed.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across the territory of Ukraine remains high.

During the past day, 37 combat engagements took place.

On the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the operational situation — no significant changes.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 30 populated areas, including Mykhailchyna Sloboda, Hrymaychany, Khrynivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Basyvka, Stepok, Volvynne, Pavlivka in Sumy Oblast, and Udi, Okhrimivka, Neskyuchne, Bochkove, Ambarne in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk Front, our soldiers steadfastly hold their defense. Successfully repelled enemy attacks near Synkivka, north of Ivanivka in Kharkiv Oblast and south of Novoselivske in Luhansk Oblast. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Kruglyakivka and Kucherivka in Kharkiv Oblast. Artillery and mortar attacks by the enemy affected more than 15 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Zapadne, Petro-Pavlivka, Podolye, Krasnoye, Kupyansk Vuzlovoy in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman Front, artillery attacks by the enemy affected populated areas of Kuzymyne and Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Torske, Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirene, Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut Front, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Andriyivka, Kurdyumivka and Druzhba in Donetsk Oblast. Over 10 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery attacks, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Ivanivske, Markove, Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiyivka Front, our defenders successfully repelled attacks under heavy air and artillery fire near Avdiyivka. Artillery attacks affected Keramik, Nevelske, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiyivka, Severne, Tonentsye, Novokalynove, Pervomaysk in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol Front, forces of defense continue to hold back Russian troops' advance near Mariupol. The enemy carried out an air strike there as well. Artillery attacks affected Krasnogorivka, Oleksandriopil, Gostre, Georgiyivka, Mariupol, Pobeda, Novomykhaylivka and Konstantinivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk Front, the enemy carried out an air strike near Otradnoye in Donetsk Oblast. Artillery attacks affected Vodyane, Ugledar, Perechystyvka, Zolotaya Niva, Velika Novosilka, Blagodatne, Storozhove, Staromajorske and Rivopil in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia Front, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions near Robotino in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Carried out air strikes in the areas of Hulyaypole, Mala Tokmachka and Orikhiv. Artillery attacks affected more than 15 populated areas, including Novodarivka, Komishuvahta, Shcherbaki, Orikhiv, Pyatykhatskye in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

On the Kherson Front, the enemy carried out air strikes near Zmiyivka, Tomaryne and Otradokamyanske in Kherson Oblast. Artillery attacks by the enemy affected more than 15 populated areas, including Olhivka, Sadove, Pridniprovske, Respublyanets, Kherson and Kizimys.

At the same time, forces of defense of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts, consolidate at gained positions, carry out counter-battery measures.

Aviation of the forces of defense carried out nine strikes during the past day in areas of enemy personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment.

Also, our defenders destroyed an enemy helicopter Ka-52 and two tactical reconnaissance UAVs.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery over the past day inflicted damage on two command points, three areas of personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment, five artillery systems in firing positions and two radar stations of the enemy.
