The first half ended without goals, but in the second our boys managed to score twice — Bogdan Vyunnyk scored from Oleg Ocheretko's pass and Danilo Sikhan after Rostislav Lyakh's assist. The game was played with a clear advantage of Ruslan Rotan's wards. In summary, Ukrainians won 2:0.

In total, 16 teams will participate in the tournament taking place from June 21 to July 8 in Georgia and Romania. According to the draw results that took place on October 18 last year in Bucharest, blue-and-yellow were placed into Group B, where they will face Romania, Spain, and Croatia. The three best teams at Euro-2023 (excluding France and England) will earn spots at the 2024 Olympics.
