On June 7, the youth national team of Ukraine began its training camp in Austria, preparing for the final tournament of Euro-2023 (U-21).

On Wednesday, the coaching staff and a group of players from Uzhhorod arrived in Vienna via Košice by bus and then traveled directly to their accommodation location in Styria (a federal state in southeastern Austria).

Players based abroad joined the team in Austria, and yesterday evening Ruslan Rotan had 24 players at his disposal. After a tiring journey, the team held light recovery training that included jogging and fitness exercises.

It is worth noting that during the training camp in Austria, Volodymyr Yezersky will join the coaching staff to work with defenders. From June 16, Serhiy Kravchenko will assist Ruslan Rotan.

It is known that our team will play two friendly matches during the training camp. On June 13, Ukraine's youth national team will face Kuwait's counterparts (kick-off at 7 PM Kyiv time), and on the 16th they will play against Ireland (7 PM).

The final squad of Ukraine's youth national team for Euro-2023 will include 23 players, and some may be called up from the senior national team's June training camp.

In June, Ukraine's youth national team will participate in the final tournament of Euro-2023 (U-21). A total of 16 teams will compete in this event, which will take place between June 21 and July 8 in Georgia and Romania. According to the draw held on October 18 last year in Bucharest, Ukraine was placed in Group B where they will face Romania, Spain, and Croatia. The three best-placed teams at Euro-2023 (excluding France and England) will qualify for the 2024 Olympics.
