Semi-defender of the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Pikhalyonok commented on the result of a friendly match against the German team (3:3).

"We prepared for a very tough game. We knew we were playing against one of football's giants. I think we fulfilled all the coach's instructions. Unfortunately, towards the end, the Germans pushed us a bit and equalized the score.

After the first goal, the guys calmed down a little, started to play their own game, scored again, the game went on. We could have won, but unfortunately, we conceded in the closing moments. This is their 1000th match for the national team, we congratulate them on this achievement. We will continue working.

The mindset for upcoming matches will be the same. We need to prepare equally well for both friendly and official games,"— said Oleksandr Pikhalyonok.

The next match of Ukraine's national team in preparation for Euro-2024 will take place on June 16 against North Macedonia. The game will be held at the Toše Proeski Arena in Skopje (kick-off at 9:45 PM Kyiv time).
