To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on May 28, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and fifty-ninth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

During the night from May 27 to May 28, 2023, the enemy attacked Ukraine with Iranian combat drones Shahed from a northern direction (Bryansk region) and a southern one (Krasnodar Krai).

A record number of kamikaze drones were launched — 54.

As a result of successful combat operations by Ukrainian troops, 52 "Shaheds" were destroyed.

Over the past day, the enemy carried out three missile strikes, two of which — S-300 SAMs on Kramatorsk, and thirteen air strikes. The enemy also conducted nearly thirty artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers against our positions and populated areas.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on attempts to fully capture Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Over the past day, units of the Territorial Defense Forces repelled 21 enemy attacks.

On the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the operational situation — no significant changes. Certain subunits of the Russian Federation's armed forces are arriving at Belarusian ranges for combat training before being deployed to Ukraine.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky fronts, over the past day, the enemy carried out an air strike in the area of Vovchansk, Kharkiv region; conducted mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas of Blesnya, Timonovichi, Mykolaivka, Zaliznyy Most, Chaykinе, Grem'ya, Chernihiv region; Zarutskе, Glukhіv, Bunyakine, Volfine, Katerinivka, Obodi, Basyvka, Miroplya, Sumy region; Basovе, Bugаyivkа, Hoptivka, Luhanytsi, Zelenе, Ternevа, Staritsya, Ogirсevо, Gatische, Vovchansкі, Tikhе and Khatne in the Kharkiv region.

On the Kupyansk front, over the past day, the enemy conducted offensive actions near Masutivka without success. An air strike was carried out in the area of Kislіvka, Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy affected Kolodyazhne, Krasnoe Perechе, Figolіvka, Novomlyn'sk, Dvorichna, Zapadnе, Masutivka, Kislіvka, and Berestovе in Kharkiv region.

On the Lyman front, over the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions. Artillery shelling affected Nеvske and Bіlogorіvka in Luhansk region and Torskе, Verkhnyokamyans'kе, and Spіrne in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut front, over the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions west of Khromovoye. The villages of Vasyukivka, Pryvillya, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorіvka, Bogdanіvka, Chasіvy Yar, Ivanіvske, Stupochki, Predtechinе and Pіvnіchne in Donetsk region suffered from enemy shelling.

On the Avdiivka front, over the past day, the enemy conducted offensive actions towards populated areas of Sєvernе and Prymаimyske without success. An air strike was carried out on Avdiіvtsi; artillery shelling affected Novokalіnovе, Avdiіvtsi, Prymаimyske, and Karlivka in Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol front, our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks near the city of Mariinka. At the same time, the villages of Georgiyіvka and Pobеda in Donetsk region also suffered from enemy shelling.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy carried out artillery strikes on populated areas of Paraskeviyіvka, Novomikhaylivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka, Prechystіvka, Shakhterskе and Velikа Nовosіlkа.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson fronts, the enemy continues to conduct defensive actions. Air strikes were carried out on areas of Krasnyy in Zaporizhzhya region and Zmiivka in Kherson region; artillery shelling affected Vremіvka, Volnoye Pole, Novopil in Donetsk region; Olhyvskе, Poltavkа, Hulyaypole, Charіvne, Novodanylivkа, Novoandriyіvka, Bіlogіrya, Mala Tokmachkа, Stepvо and Kam'yans'kе in Zaporizhzhya region; Ivanіvka, Sadovе, Antonіvka Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

The aviation of the Territorial Defense Forces carried out four strikes on areas of enemy personnel and military equipment concentration as well as three — against his air defense missile systems over the past day.

Our defenders destroyed three enemy UAVs of different types during the past day.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery hit two command points, two areas of weapons and military equipment concentration, two ammunition depots and another important enemy military object.

Overall, over the past day our defenders liquidated 400 Russian occupiers, destroyed three tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, eleven artillery systems, three tactical UAVs, nine vehicles and two units of special equipment.
