President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasizes that the main goal of his foreign visits, including to the Netherlands and Finland, is to ensure the fastest possible provision of weapons needed by the Ukrainian army for repelling Russian aggression and liberating all Ukrainian territories.
He stated this during a meeting with representatives of the media after concluding talks with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo in The Hague.
"Our task today is to arm our formation. This was my mission yesterday, and it remains my mission today. We planned these visits with the aim of strengthening our army. One aspect of this is security. Another aspect is NATO and Eurointegration," said the Head of State.
According to him, foreign partners have received corresponding requests.
"Much of what we are returning with. There are serious packages from our partners, and this is the most important thing," added Volodymyr Zelensky.
Regarding the issue of providing Ukraine with F-16 fighters, the president said that discussions on this should start with training pilots.
"These training missions can only be provided by countries that have appropriate facilities and possess F-16s in their arsenal. But this is as complex an issue as the question of consolidating countries regarding our future in the European Union and our future in NATO. We are working on it. I am confident that we will achieve a positive result because we have no other choice," emphasized the Head of State.
In response to questions about counteroffensive operations, the president noted that Ukraine believes in its victory and success in counteroffensive actions. The entire country and society are working to strengthen the Armed Forces.
At the same time, Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that the price the Ukrainian people will pay for the liberation of their territories will be high, and therefore Ukraine expects concrete steps from its partners.
