The world champion boxer in the heavyweight division according to WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO versions will help the national football team of Ukraine with the implementation of a number of social projects.

In particular, together with the Ukrainian Football Association, Oleksandr will contribute to organizing trips for injured servicemen to matches of the country's main team, holding football tournaments involving participants in combat operations, providing assistance to medical facilities where wounded soldiers are treated, as well as charitable actions supporting families of fallen military personnel and other projects. Indeed, the next trip of our Heroes to a match with the support of the team's ambassador is planned for the Euro-2024 qualifier Ukraine - Malta, which will take place in Trnava, Slovakia on June 19. Oleksandr already has relevant practical experience, as he helped organize a trip for servicemen to a match of the main team in Krakow last year, where on September 27, the national team met Scotland's team in the UEFA Nations League-2022/2023 tournament. In addition, Oleksandr Usyk's charitable foundation has been actively helping defenders of Ukraine acquire transportation, medications and equipment necessary for our military to counter Russian military aggression.

"Thank you, Oleksandr, for your patriotism and readiness to support and help military personnel whom he often visits on the front line! For the national team and our football community in general, participation in such social projects aimed at helping rehabilitate Hero defenders is an extremely honorable mission! It's important for the soldiers themselves who risked their lives to defend Ukraine's independence. I am sure that such cooperation will inspire football players of the national team where Oleksandr Usyk has many friends. Oleksandr, we kindly invite you to join our team!" — noted after meeting with the ambassador of the national team, President of the UFA and UEFA Executive Committee member Andriy Pavelko.
