To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 01.05.2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and thirty-second day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our country has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to employ a tactic of terror.

Today, around 02.30, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with strategic bombers — nine Tu-95s from the area of Olenegorsk (Murmansk region) and two Tu-160s from the Caspian Sea region. In total, the enemy launched 18 cruise missiles. Fifteen of them were destroyed by our defenders.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out five missile strikes on the cities of Kramatorsk, Konstantinivka and Pavlograd. Additionally, it conducted 27 air raids and carried out 45 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers against positions of our troops and populated areas, resulting in casualties among civilians.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka axes. Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled more than 36 attacks by the enemy in these sectors over the past day. The epicenter of combat actions remains Bakhmut and Mariinka, our defenders steadfastly hold their ground.

On the Volyn and Polesie axes, signs of forming offensive groupings have not been detected. Certain units of the Russian Federation's armed forces remain in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes, over the past day, the enemy carried out air strikes on populated areas of Krasnykh Hutir in Chernihiv Oblast and Seredina-Buda in Sumy Oblast. It also conducted mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas of Mykolaivka, Halyaganyvka, Arkhipivka, Leonivka, and Oleksandrivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Seredina-Buda, Progress, Druzhba, Bachivsk, Sopich in Sumy Oblast, as well as Chervona Zoria, Veterinarnoe, Strilecha, Glybokoye, Krasne, Vovchansk, Chernyakove and Loshekhove in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyanskyi axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy was experienced by Kamianka, Krasne Pervye, Novomlynsk, Dvorychyna, Liman Perevyshche, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselyvske in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman axis, artillery shelling was experienced by Nevskoye, Dibrova and Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Kolodyazi, Torske, Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirene and Rozdolovka — Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations. Battles are ongoing in the city of Bakhmut. Additionally, over the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated areas of Bogdanivka, Ivanivske and Oleksandro-Shultyne. The villages of Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasilivka, Novomarokove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Dilievka, Pivnichne, Zalizne, Pivdenne and New York in Donetsk Oblast suffered from enemy shelling.

On the Avdiivka axis, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the area of populated areas of Avdiivka and Perevalnoye. It shelled Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Tonentsi, Severne, Netaylove, Karlivka, Vodyane and Perevalnoye in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariinka axis, the enemy continues to attack positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Battles are ongoing for Mariinka. The villages of Krasnogorivka, Pobeda and Novomikhaylivka in Donetsk Oblast also suffered from enemy shelling.

On the Shakhtarskyi axis, over the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. It carried out shelling of populated areas of Vuhledar, Prichystyvka, Novoukrayinka and Zolotaya Niva.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the enemy is defending. It shelled, among others, Veremivka, Burlytske, Novosilka, Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Olhyvskoye, Hulyaypole, Bihor'ya, Mala Tokmatska, Novodanylivka, Nova Andriyivka, Novoyakovlivka and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; as well as Kherson, Otradne-Kamyanske and Bilozersk in Kherson Oblast. It also carried out an air strike on the populated area of Kizomys in Kherson Oblast.

The enemy continues to try to replenish its losses in manpower at the expense of captured individuals. Recently, it was noted that nearly 400 such individuals, recruited by the private military company "Wagner," arrived at one of the field camps of occupiers in Berdyansk Raion of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Similar replenishment is expected in the area around Luhansk as well. It is known that a plan has been prepared for training up to 200 individuals from among those convicted at one of the ranges near the city over several weeks. The personnel of the commandant's company, which will be responsible for guarding this contingent, have received orders to open fire on any attempts to escape or disobedience.

The so-called leadership of Luhansk Oblast is processing issues regarding the expropriation of immovable property of citizens of Ukraine who have temporarily left occupied territories of the oblast. The selected real estate plans to be transferred into the disposal of law enforcement structures.

Aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out four strikes against areas of enemy manpower concentration over the past day. Also, an enemy reconnaissance UAV of the "Orlan-10" type was shot down, and units of rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage on five areas of enemy manpower concentration, ammunition stockpiles, two areas of enemy artillery concentration and a logistics center of Russian occupiers.

Overall, over the past day, our defenders liquidated 450 Russian occupiers, destroyed one tank, three armored combat vehicles, seven artillery systems, one tactical UAV, three cars and two units of special equipment.
