Ahead of the official games, blue-and-yellow had the opportunity to hold a four-day camp in Bulgaria's Sliven, arriving at the venue by bus via Romania on February 26. Today, Sergiy Sapronov's wards met with their hosts in Group V6.
At the start of the match, Ukrainians several times broke through to the goalposts, and on the 33rd minute Borovska put our team ahead. A few moments later, the Bulgarian girls managed to even things out, but at halftime blue-and-yellow were leading 2-1 thanks to a successful shot by Ptitina.
In the second half, the advantage was also on the side of our girls; several times the opponents' goalkeeper saved them from scoring. In the end, Ukrainians secured victory and earned three points.
Their next and final match in the group will be against Latvia on March 6 (kickoff at 14:30 Kyiv time).
