President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the tenth EU sanctions package against Russia and a good diplomatic impulse this week.
"I wish you all good health, dear Ukrainians!
Today, the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia for the war was approved.
The tenth and clearly not the last package.
Sanctions will continue to be imposed in order to leave nothing of the potential of Russian aggression.
Today, in the tenth package, there are new sanctions steps against Russia's military industry and financial sector, as well as against propagandists who have drowned Russian society in lies and are trying to spread their lies around the world. They will not succeed.
Our diplomats and entire country work on expanding global, and especially European, sanctions to include Russia's nuclear industry, Rosatom, and all those involved in the rocket program and nuclear blackmail of a state-sponsor-of-terrorism. There are already corresponding steps from partners—the United States, Britain. We expect similar steps from the European Union.
Of course, we will continue working on Ukraine's sanctions against Russian entities and all those who help them. Appropriate decisions will be made.
Our resolution adopted at the UN General Assembly gave a very good diplomatic impulse this week. A resolution about peace for Ukraine, territorial integrity of our country, and protection of international law from Russia's aggression. In fact, we see that the sense of our peace formula is becoming the basis of specific international political-legal decisions supported by the world majority.
I thank each of the 141 countries that supported our resolution. I thank every leader and every people who equally value freedom and the international order with Ukraine.
Of course, every success of our diplomats, every foreign policy opportunity for our country and every show of global attention to Ukrainians is based on the unbreakable strength of our Ukrainian nation, the unbreakable strength of our soldiers.
On the fact that Ukraine is strong and constantly growing stronger. The world loves the strong and helps the brave.
The global center of power and bravery is here in Ukraine, among our people who are defending our country. Who are defending our land, our Donetsk, our Luhansk, all our lands where very fierce and painful battles are taking place. I thank every one of our soldiers, everyone who firmly, strongly, bravely defends our positions on the Donbas front, destroys the enemy, and achieves a powerful result in the east.
The result in the east so that we have results everywhere else as well.
Today I congratulate the fighters of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 77th Separate Airborne Brigade for their heroism and effectiveness in battles on the Bakhmut axis. Well done, boys!
Artillerymen of the 55th "Zaporizhzhya Sich" brigade, marines of the 35th separate brigade named after Admiral Ostrorogsky, infantrymen of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hanyuk and the 72nd separate brigade named after Black Zaporozhyans, as well as paratroopers of the 79th— all on the Donbas front—I thank you, boys, for your honorable defense against the enemy!
I want to especially thank today everyone in the military aviation engineering service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. All those who work on the ground so that Ukraine can prevail in the air.
Today is the professional holiday of our military aviation engineers.
These are people whose professionalism and reliability have been fully confirmed by our ability to defend the skies. I thank everyone who makes this engineering-aviation contribution towards our victory!
Glory to each and every one of those fighting now!
Thank you all who help protect Ukraine from Russian aggression!
Eternal glory to all heroes who gave their lives for us, for Ukraine!
Glory to Ukraine!"
