General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 06:00 25.02.2023)

Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on February 25, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred sixty-seventh day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

The main efforts of the enemy are still focused on conducting offensive operations along the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions. Over the past day, our defenders repelled nearly 70 attacks by the enemy in these areas.

Russian occupiers carried out 27 air strikes and conducted 75 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers. Yesterday's attacks affected towns, villages, and civilians. The level of threat from enemy missile strikes remains high across all of Ukraine's territory.

On the Volynian, Polesian, Northern, and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation — no significant changes. The enemy continues to maintain military presence near the state border of Ukraine, preparing its reserves, but signs of forming offensive groupings have not been detected.

At the same time during the day, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the villages Mikhailchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv Oblast; Yunakivka, Vodolagi and Boyaro-Lyachiyi in Sumy Oblast, as well as areas around 23 populated places in Kharkiv region, including Lemeshchane, Oleksandrivka, Starytsya, Voynovatka, Hryhorcheve and Bolohivka.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy attempted to improve tactical positions in the area of Masutivka, as well as to drive out our units from Serbiansky forest. Shelled with artillery areas around 17 populated places. Among them — Hrynykivka, Kupyansk and Berezhovoe in Kharkiv Oblast and Stepanivka, Makieyevka, Dibrova and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to attack our positions, carried out several unsuccessful attacks near populated places Berkhivka, Ivanivske and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast. The enemy actively conducts aerial reconnaissance for artillery fire correction. 16 populated places were shelled, including Spirene, Veseloye, Ivanivske, Bakhmut, Kurdyumivka and Ozaryanivka in Donetsk region.

On the Avdiyivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near populated places Perevalskiy, Nevelske, Mariinka. Enemy artillery shelling was recorded in 17 populated places. Among them — Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Prechystovka, Mariinka, Vuhledar and Velika Novosilka.

On the Zaporizhzhya direction, fire damage was sustained by 20 populated places, including Veremivka and Novopil in Donetsk Oblast and Olhyvskiy, Hulyaypole, Orikhiv and Bihor'ya in Zaporizhzhia.

On the Kherson direction, 34 populated places in Kherson region were hit by artillery fire. Among them — Dudchani, Berislav, Sadove, Kachkarivka, Antonivka and Kherson.

In temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast Russian occupiers search houses and confiscate boats and other watercrafts. Previously such actions were carried out before withdrawal from the right-bank part of Kherson region and for conducting sabotage operations.

Having destroyed over 80% of housing stock in Mariupol, Donetsk Oblast, the enemy offers victims of these bombardments to receive new housing near the ruined city. However, counting on that along with housing documents confirming ownership were also destroyed, occupiers cynically put forward a condition of their availability for obtaining new housing.

In Chechen Republic of Russian Federation forced mobilization continues. To prevent possible desertion from the front or sabotage 23 February this year an additional 200 police officers from special purpose battalion "Ahmat" were dispatched to Bakhmut direction.

During the day units of the Defense Forces destroyed one attack helicopter Mi-24 and four enemy UAVs (one — type "Orlan-10", one — "Zala" and two — "Lancet-3"). Ukrainian aviation delivered 20 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers, as well as two strikes — on anti-aircraft missile systems at firing positions. Our artillerymen and rocket forces hit a command post, two areas of enemy troops' concentration and three ammunition depots.

Believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Together we will win!

Glory to Ukraine!
