Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on February 23, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred sixty-fifth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

The Russian Federation is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations along the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions.

Yesterday, our defenders repelled nearly 90 attacks by the enemy on these directions.

At the same time, the enemy carried out 10 rocket and 19 air strikes. Conducted 37 shelling with multiple launch rocket systems. Civilians in peaceful cities and villages were once again affected. The threat of Russian missile attacks remains high across all of Ukraine's territory.

On the Volyn, Polesie, Sever, and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation has remained unchanged. Signs of forming enemy offensive groupings have not been detected. The enemy shelled populated areas with mortars and artillery in Mikhalychyna Sloboda, Chernihiv Oblast; Supych, Korneyok, Hirki, Boyaro-Lyachy, Rizhivka, Basyvka, Sumy Oblast, as well as 18 districts of populated areas in Kharkiv region, including Timofiyivka, Strylecha, Staritsya, Vovchansky, Vilcha, Budariki, Ambarne and Bolohivka.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near populated areas of Stepankhyvka, Kremenna, Bihorivka, Fedoriwka. Conducted artillery shelling in the districts of populated areas Kamianka, Dvorichna, Grynykivka, Kotlyarivka and Beresteve Kharkiv Oblast; Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Kremenna, Kuzymne, Dybrova, Bihorivka in Luhansk region as well as Ivanivka and Yamopolivka Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to attack our positions near populated areas of Orilhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Yagydne, Malyi Ilyinivka, Bakhmut. Actively conducts aerial reconnaissance for artillery fire correction. Over 20 populated areas were shelled, including Spirene, Veselye, Bihorivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Yagydne, Bakhmut and Ozaryanyvka Donetsk region.

On the Avdiyivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy conducted an offensive near Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Nevelskoie, Mariinka, Pobyeda, Vuhledar and Prechystivka. Over the past day, occupiers carried out 43 unsuccessful attacks near mentioned populated areas. Artillery shelling was recorded in 22 districts of populated areas including Novobakhmutivka, Veselye, Avdiivka, Pervomaisk, Vodyane, Nevelskoie, Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Mariinka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Velika Novosyilka in Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, areas of populated places Veremivka, Novosylikha, Zelenoe Pole and Novopil were hit by artillery fire in Donetsk region; Malinivka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychnye, Novodanilyvka and Kamianske - Zaporizhzhia and Vyschytarasivka and Marhanets on Dnipropetrovsk.

On the Kherson direction, the city of Kherson was affected by artillery fire from Russian occupying forces, as well as Tyagynka, Novotyagynka, Antonivka, Zelenivka and Chornobaivka.

Russian occupiers continue to impose passportization on citizens of Ukraine. Thus, residents of Nova Kakhovka received agitational messages from February 19 about the work of a migration service in the city.

In connection with the failure of the offensive and significant losses in manpower under Vuhledar, the personnel of the so-called volunteer Cossack detachment assigned to the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet refuse further participation in offensive operations.

Ukrainian aviation carried out 11 strikes on enemy concentration areas yesterday as well as a strike on an air defense missile complex of the enemy at a firing position. And our rocket and artillery units hit command posts, two enemy manpower concentration areas and ammunition depots.
