President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the continuation of a diplomatic marathon to strengthen our state and protect international law, as well as the work of the export grain initiative.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

I report on today's events.

I had the honor to address graduates of our military academies in Lviv and Odessa. To young officers who are soon heading to active duty. To combat brigades that fight for our state, and to new brigades being formed.

This is a special mission — right now acquiring military education and knowing that tomorrow this education will be needed directly on the battlefield to defend the state, to command soldiers and units.

I am happy that higher military educational institutions in Ukraine do not lack those who truly want to become a Ukrainian officer, who wish to be well-educated and effective Ukrainian officers. Who aspire to make history of Ukraine's victory in this war their own life story.

I wished our young officers to be worthy of the heroism that our soldiers are already demonstrating on the battlefield today and which Ukrainians have always demonstrated in their struggle for freedom. I wish victory to graduates of our military academies, and I am confident — this victory will come.

Today we continued our diplomatic marathon to strengthen Ukraine and protect international law, giving more security to our state. Spoke with four leaders of countries.

In talks with the President of Pakistan, we emphasized the unconditional importance of maintaining full strength and respect for the UN Charter, the independence of nations and the integrity of states. We discussed our efforts regarding ensuring food security and current threats to it.

By the way, our export grain initiative has been working for seven months now. During this time, already 43 countries around the world have received over 22 million tons of food thanks to our maritime exports. This is a significant Ukrainian contribution to global food security and stabilization of the global food market.

If not for this initiative, there would now be political and social chaos processes in some African and Asian countries, with a much more acute crisis of life value that various peoples felt last year. But if our initiative were working at full capacity, if Russia did not try to hinder it, we could have exported even more food products. That is, there would have been noticeably more guarantees of global food security. Our partners are well aware of the conscious actions of Russia undermining food security. We are working on providing necessary stability.

We must understand: this is not just a contribution to global security. Our maritime food export benefits Ukraine. Nearly a million Ukrainians work in sectors related to agricultural production. And for them, the fact that we unlocked maritime exports last year — it's a guarantee of personal and family social security.

Today I spoke with the President of Estonia. Thanked him for unwavering support for Ukraine at all levels. This is support with weapons, sanctions against Russia, and political — especially in European and Euro-Atlantic structures. Today we discussed the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius and our expectations regarding Ukraine's integration. We are already preparing for these future events.

We also had our first bilateral talks with the President of Uganda in history. Informed about our peace initiatives that we are advancing at the UN, about our principled position on protecting international law. Discussed potential bilateral cooperation.

In the evening I spoke with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. We work very closely with Britain to strengthen our soldiers, to bring us closer to a shared victory, and to implement our defense agreements reached during my visit to London. It would be great if all our partners understood as well as Britain does how the speed of defense supplies affects specific battlefield successes.

We also discussed important political issues that we need to resolve this week.

The second half of the week will be even more active in terms of international relations. We maintain a diplomatic tempo.

As always, throughout the day I received reports from our military and security sector leaders. Today Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko reported on the formation of new "Offensive Guard" brigades. The results are good.

I held several preparatory meetings in the context of further sanctions steps by our state. We will not ease pressure on the enemy — both external and internal. I will inform about details.

Of course, throughout the day I was in touch with commanders and our intelligence.

I want to highlight today fighters of the 15th National Guard Regiment who are defending Luhansk and not only holding our positions but also destroying the enemy, thus actually limiting the occupier's offensive capabilities on a specific front. Thank you!

In Mariinka district of Donetsk region, soldiers of the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade act particularly effectively, repelling enemy attacks day and night. Half of all attacks in this direction are happening there. Our troops stand firm. Thank you!

Over the past day, we have a result from the 5th Independent Stormtrooper Regiment and the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, who heroically destroy the enemy south of Bakhmut. Thank you, soldiers!

Thank you to everyone fighting for Ukraine today!

Thank you to everyone holding our northern, eastern and southern fronts! Glory to Ukrainian warriors!

Glory to all who strengthen our state!

Glory to our wonderful people!

Glory to Ukraine!»
