President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about the meeting of the General Staff in a new expanded format and about another sanctionary step our state is taking against all those who finance Russian aggression.

"I wish good health to dear Ukrainians!

Today, even though it's Sunday, it's a very meaningful and, as always, working day for the state.

I held a meeting of the General Staff in a new expanded format. The Chief Commander reported, as did the commanders of the sectors, and there were reports directly from the front line.

We are adjusting the situation, doing everything to prepare our actions for the near future and what is happening right now on the frontline.

The Chief Commander reported about the overall situation at the front, with a special emphasis on mobilization and specific situations, as well as ongoing activities.

I listened to detailed reports from the General Staff regarding each combat position and every hottest sector.

The Bakhmut direction, OSUM "Khortytsia" - there was a report by General Syrskyi. How we defend our positions, how we strengthen this particular sector, and how many forces we take from the enemy.

The Vuhledar direction, OTU "Donetsk" - reported by General Sodol. The situation is very difficult. We are fighting hard. We break the occupier and inflict extremely painful losses on Russia.

Once again I repeat: the more Russia loses there, specifically in Donbas - Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Marinka, Kremenchuk - the sooner we will be able to end this war with Ukraine's victory.

I listened to a report on the situation in the south. Specifically, the Odessa direction was reported by General Hnatov. The situation has not changed; we control all possible perspectives.

OSUM "Tauria" - reported by General Tarnavskyi about specific results of defense. Thank you to all our soldiers who are protecting Zaporizhzhia and this entire sector!

Of course, the Northern direction, Kyiv. There was a report by General Naiev. The general reported that the situation is fully under control, as it is along the entire northern border.

There was a report from the Minister of Internal Affairs regarding the formation of new "Offensive Guard" brigades. There are very good results. This is a very valuable experience of how to and should motivate people.

And such a work format - both at the General Staff and in informing about defense management - I will support. I want our people to know and understand what we prepare for, what we control.

Of course, military issues, details of actions by intelligence - there is much that cannot be disclosed. But I want our people to have predictability now. And the feeling that Ukraine is moving towards its goals. Reports on this were made by Budanov, Maliuk, Lytvynenko.

Today, our state takes a new sanctionary step against all those who finance Russian aggression. I signed an order to implement the decision of the National Security and Defense Council regarding sanctions against Russian financial entities. These are Ukraine's sanctions. But each such package of ours becomes the basis for work on sanctions with partners.

Currently, preparations are underway for another EU sanction package - already the tenth one. We are working with partners to strengthen it. At the same time, we are also working with other global actors. Sanctions against terrorism - this is where efforts of every responsible state can push a global process forward. And that will happen.

Today I spoke with President Macron of France. About further defense support, about protecting our people and all of Europe. I thank Mr. President for understanding our needs and the shared feeling that we cannot lose any opportunity or week in defending against Russian aggression. We discussed our joint diplomatic efforts with France, our cooperation on international platforms. As well as important decisions we are preparing for this week - for the year of our invincibility.

I also held several meetings today with government officials and our international team - office and cabinet. With representatives from the defense sector. There will be new initiatives, new results for Ukraine, new achievements in relations with partners.

Thank you to everyone who is defending Ukraine!

I thank each one of those who are now in battle!

I thank all who help our state!

Glory to Ukraine!"
