The Ukrainian Football Association sent a letter to the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, requesting an investigation into the incident that occurred during the match between FC "Deportivo" and FC "Rayo Vallecano," as well as measures to be taken.

We are concerned about the incident that took place in La Liga (match of the 20th round between FC "Deportivo" and FC "Rayo Vallecano"), specifically involving offensive chants not only from the fan section but also from ordinary spectators, such as "Putin will defeat you!" "We support Putin!" "Zozulya is a Nazi!" (referring to Rayo Vallecano's Ukrainian player Roman Zozulya), which led to a half-time stoppage by the main referee.

In October 2022, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe became the first international organization to recognize Russia as a terrorist state. The NATO Parliamentary Assembly recognized the Russian Federation and its regime as terrorist, and this resolution, which also calls for the establishment of a special tribunal to hold the regime accountable for horrific war crimes, was unanimously adopted in Madrid. Similarly, parliaments of several European countries, such as Poland, the Czech Republic, and Estonia, have taken action.

The entire civilized world understands the essence of these processes and supports Ukraine. Spain as a country also supported our state from the very first days of the war, and we greatly appreciate this.
