To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on January 3, 2023 regarding Russia's invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred and fourteenth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

Russian occupiers continue a full-scale military aggression against our state. The enemy does not give up on plans to advance into the administrative border of Donetsk Oblast. Main efforts are focused on supporting offensive potential and replenishing losses, including through mobilized forces.

In order to exert pressure on the leadership and population of our country, the enemy carries out air and missile strikes as well as artillery shelling of critical infrastructure and civilian housing in Ukraine's territory, thereby violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war.

During the past day, the enemy carried out six missile and 52 aerial strikes, conducted 77 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers. All six missile and also 30 aerial strikes were directed against civilian infrastructure. Additionally, all 27 "Shahed-136" drones used by the enemy were shot down by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The threat of enemy air and missile strikes on critical infrastructure remains across the entire territory of Ukraine.

In an attempt to fully control Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, the enemy is concentrating efforts on conducting offensive operations along the Bakhmut direction. Makes attempts to improve tactical positions in the Lyman and Avdiivka directions, reinforces units along the Novopavlovsk direction at the expense of divisions transferred from the Kherson direction.

During the past day, subunits of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of Stepanovka, Makieyivka, Ploschanka, Bihorivka Luhansk Oblast; Rozdolivka, Sverdlovsk, Krasna Gora, Podgrodne, Bakhmut, Klyshchyvka, Kurdyumivka, Avdiivka, Mariinka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Volynian, Polissian, Northern and Slobozhansky directions the situation remains unchanged, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, signs of forming offensive groupings have not been detected.

On other fronts, the enemy is defending previously occupied positions, concentrating efforts on restraining units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces while simultaneously shelling our troops' positions and civilian objects along the entire line of contact.

In the Northern and Slobozhansky directions, artillery and mortar shelling was experienced in the areas of Lipivka, Yelene Chernihiv Oblast; Volvynne, Pavlivka, Pokrovka, Mayske Sumy Oblast; Strilecha, Starytsia, Ogirceve, Vovchansk, Ohrymovka, Kamyanka Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansky direction the enemy carried out shelling with all types of artillery in the areas of Novomlynsk, Tavilzhanka, Dvorychyna, Liman First, Vilschan, Kupyansk, Kucherivka, Orlyanka, Kurilyovka, Kislivka, Kotlaryvka, Tabayivka, Pereshknevne Kharkiv Oblast; Novoselyvske, Andriyivka and Stepanovka Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman direction the enemy carried out shelling with tanks, mortars, field artillery in the areas of Makieyivka, Ploschanka, Nevsko, Chernopopivka, Dibrova Luhansk Oblast as well as Terni Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction the enemy carried out shelling with tanks, mortars, field and rocket artillery in the areas of Spirene, Beresteve, Bihorivka, Veselye, Yakovlivka, Sverdlovsk, Bakhmut, Kostyantynivka, Stupochki, Klyshchyvka, Andriyivka, Bila Gora, Kurdyumivka, Dilievka, Mayoriv, New York Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka direction the enemy carried out shelling with tanks and various types of artillery in the areas of Veselye, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Georgiyivka, Mariinka, Novomikhaylivka, Vodyane Donetsk Oblast.

On the Novopavlovsk direction the enemy carried out shelling with tanks, mortars, field and rocket artillery in the areas of Vuhledar, Zolotaya Niva, Velika Novosyilka, Vremivka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction the enemy carried out shelling with tanks and all types of artillery in the areas of Novopil Donetsk Oblast; Olhyvsky, Zelenyi Hai, Hulyaypole, Dorozhnyanka, Zaliznychne, Hulyaipolske, Charyvne, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriyivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepanovske, Kamianske and Plevni Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Musiyivka, Chernogrygoriivka Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

On the Kherson direction the enemy continues to carry out shelling of populated areas along the right bank of the Dnipro River. Civilian infrastructure in the towns of Kherson, Zelenivka, Inzhenerne, Molodyzhne, Antonivka and Berislov Kherson Oblast suffered from artillery shelling; there are casualties among civilians.

The enemy continues to suffer losses. Confirmed fire strikes by Ukrainian Defense Forces units on December 31 against live forces and military equipment of the enemy in the area of Chulakivka Kherson Oblast. Enemy losses amounted to nearly 500 servicemen wounded or killed.

On January 1, 2023, Ukrainian Defense Forces units carried out fire strikes against enemy personnel in the area of Fedorovka Kherson Oblast; the number of casualties is being verified.

Ukrainian Air Force carried out 13 strikes during the past day on areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment are concentrated as well as five strikes against enemy air defense positions.

During the past day, our defenders shot down an enemy Ka-52 helicopter and three reconnaissance drones of the "Orlan-10" type.

Subunits of rocket forces and artillery of Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out fire strikes during the past day on areas where live forces and military equipment are concentrated as well as against an enemy radar station.
