President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the defense of our country against informal influence networks from the state-terrorist and the necessity of genuine energy disarmament of Russia.
"I wish good health to all dear Ukrainians!
I held another meeting of the General Staff. Commanders reported on the situation at specific fronts — at the most important fronts.
In Donetsk — Bakhmut, Soledar — now, as before, is the hottest and most painful. We are doing everything to help our boys there. Our heroes who hold the defense there. Everyone there deserves the highest praise!
And now I separately thank the border guards of Chop Border Detachment, who are fighting on the Bakhmut front and today «downed» another enemy aircraft.
Luhansk and Kharkiv regions — we are reinforcing our forces. South — we continue to «minus» the occupier's capabilities. Border — we are fortifying the entire perimeter. Black Sea waters — working so that Kalibr missiles might end up at the bottom.
Of course, we discussed further steps towards full spiritual independence of Ukraine and protection of our state from informal influence networks of the state-terrorist.
A separate discussion at the General Staff — about energy. The progress of restoration and defense of objects. We are working on this constantly.
Today, a discussion around price caps, that is, limiting the export price of Russian oil, ended «— unfortunately, without serious decisions.» Because calling such a limit for Russian prices comfortable for the state-terrorist's budget cannot be considered a serious decision.
Russia has already inflicted colossal losses on all countries in the world through deliberate destabilization of energy markets. And the world is unable to apply genuine energy disarmament against it. This is a weak position.
And only time remains before stronger measures will have to be applied. It's a pity that this time will be wasted.
The logic is obvious: if price caps on Russian oil — 60 dollars instead of, for example, 30 as Poland and Baltic countries were talking about — then the Russian budget would receive nearly 100 billion dollars a year.
These funds will not only go to war but also to further sponsorship by Russia of other — terrorist regimes and organizations.
These funds will also go towards destabilizing exactly those countries that are trying to avoid serious decisions now.
I held a meeting today with the leaders of our foreign policy block.
We summed up the week and prepared new measures for December and January. Very powerful measures. The position of Ukraine will be heard, and we will realize Ukrainian interests despite everything.
And one more thing. Yesterday I spoke with students at universities: Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and Skovoroda National Pedagogical University of Kharkiv. Three institutions among many that preserve the memory of Skovoroda — and also preserve Ukrainian identity.
And today I visited an exhibition at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv called "The World of Skovoroda."
And it's right that under these conditions, throughout the country, events are taking place to mark 300 years since Skovoroda. It is right that there are forces and energy to care about Ukraine in all its manifestations.
Because our victory is achieved by the power of arms and the power of spirit. The strength of soldiers and the strength of the people. The strength of the state and the strength of culture. The strength of our unity — our ability to work together for Ukrainian interests and support each other. Support, because we are Ukrainians, and this argument alone should be enough for all of us.
Glory to all who fight for Ukraine!
Glory to all who work for our state!
Eternal memory and respect to all who gave their lives for independence!
Glory to Ukraine!»
