President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about the visit of the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Briefly reporting on a day that started very early and was quite active, my schedule for today is still not over.

Just held another meeting of the General Staff. Main issues - the front line. Ensuring our troops, the situation in specific frontline sectors and what we are planning to increase the number of Ukrainian flags in cities in the South and East of Ukraine.

Discussed separately the battles in Donetsk. There were reports. We are doing everything possible to help our heroes withstand Russian attacks.

Of course, special attention was paid to energy issues.

The participants of today's General Staff meeting are traditional. The Chief Commander, commanders and all those who work for the sake of our defense.

Today there was a very important visit to Ukraine - the visit of the new UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. A highly meaningful visit. All key issues in our relations were discussed. There will be new results for both our countries - this is already certain.

Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister Rishi, for your readiness to join us in even stronger defense of freedom. We have some very necessary decisions - we agreed on them today.

As always, I received reports about restoration work in the energy sector today. Across the country, we are working to stabilize the situation.

The biggest problems with electricity - Kyiv and region, Odessa and region, Kharkiv and region. Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and other regions - energy workers do everything possible to give people a normal life.

Kherson - restoring transport connections. The first train from Kyiv. Every day we create new opportunities for people.

Preparing significant international events - soon. We will ensure everything needed for our defense.

We call upon everyone who can support our country to do so.
