To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on October 29, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and forty-eighth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy is attempting to hold temporarily occupied territories, concentrating efforts on restraining actions by Defense Forces at certain sectors, but does not abandon attempts to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of the populated places of Vodyane, Kam’yanka, and Nevel’skoie in the Donetsk region.

The enemy is shelling our troops' positions along the line of contact, conducting fortification work at certain sectors, and carrying out aerial reconnaissance. In violation of international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war, it continues to inflict strikes on critical infrastructure and civilian housing.

Over the past day, the enemy inflicted four missile and up to 25 air strikes, carried out over 70 shelling with multiple rocket launchers.

Areas of more than 35 populated places were hit by the enemy's attacks. Among them — Severnyi and Prechystivka in the Donetsk region; Maliy Shcherbak in Zaporizhzhia region; Davydov Brid and Mala Seydemynukha on the Khersonshchina, and Kobzarci in Mykolaiv region.

On the Volynian and Polesian directions, the situation has not changed significantly. The Republic of Belarus continues to support Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. There remains a threat of missile strikes and the use of strike UAVs from that country's territory.

At other sectors, the enemy carried out shelling:

on the Northern direction — with mortars and field artillery in the areas of the populated places of Gay, Khrynyvka, and Leonivka in Chernihiv region;

on the Slobozhanskyi direction — using various types of artillery in the areas of the populated places of Veterinarnoe, Dvorichna, Staritsa, Strel’cha, and Chugunivka;

on the Kupyansk and Lyman directions — with mortars, field artillery, and multiple rocket launchers in the areas of the populated places of Berestove, Nevske, Spirne, Olhivka, and Novoyegorivka;

on the Bakhmut direction — with tanks and various caliber artillery in the areas of the populated places of Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoe, Bilohirivka, Chasiv Yar, Klyshchyovka, Solydar, Zelenopillya, and Yakovyvka;

on the Avdiyivka direction — with tanks, mortars, field artillery, and multiple rocket launchers in the areas of the populated places of Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, and Pereval’yevka.

On the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy inflicted shelling on positions of Defense Forces and civilian infrastructure in the areas of Velika Nova Sylka, Vremivka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychny, and Pavlivka.

On the South Buzhsky direction, over 20 populated places along the line of contact suffered artillery fire. For aerial reconnaissance, the enemy made nearly 20 sorties with UAVs of various types.

Due to unstable operation of medical aviation and unpreparedness of medical infrastructure in Belgorod region, full hospital capacity, the enemy is forced to evacuate wounded by bus to neighboring Voronezh.

In Berislav village of Kherson region, occupiers are massively changing into civilian clothing and settling in private residences.

So-called «evacuation» of the enemy from temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region continues, including medical facilities. All equipment and medications are being removed from hospitals in Kherson. Doctors who refuse to leave are forbidden to enter hospital premises even for personal belongings.

As a result of precise strikes by units of Defense Forces Ukraine near the populated place of Mayor’sk, nearly 300 occupiers preparing for another attack were destroyed on the previous day. Another approximately 60 lightly wounded were transported to medical facilities in Gorlovka city the following day. In the village of Chervonopopivka in Luhansk region, up to 20 enemy servicemen were destroyed and nearly 30 occupiers received injuries of varying severity.

Air Force units of Defense Forces inflicted 24 strikes on areas where weapons and military equipment are concentrated as well as positions of anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy over the past day. Our air defense units downed two Su-25 attack aircraft, one Mi-8 helicopter, and one UAV of the enemy at various sectors.

Units of rocket forces and artillery inflicted damage on positions of self-propelled artillery batteries and other important military objects of the enemy during the current day.
