According to the draw results for the final stage of Euro 2023 (U-21), the Ukrainian youth national team qualified for Group B. In this quartet, blue and yellow will play against tournament hosts Romania, as well as teams from Spain and Croatia.

The prospects for the group stage of the competition were discussed by Rostan's wards on the official website of the UAF.

"Our opponents are good. In such competitions, there are no weak rivals by default, so it will be tough. But our team is not here to make an appearance; we aim for results. It will be interesting to compete against Spain, Romania, and Croatia."

"The draw could have been worse and better, but I'm glad that from the second pot we got Romania. Croatia is no gift, while Spain will be considered a favorite in our group. However, I believe that our opponents are roughly of equal strength; we can play against all and win. I think we should aim for first place in the group, provided we manage to show our best football."
