After the defeat in Istanbul against "Fenerbahçe" (1:2), the white-and-blue team faced AKE, which in August eliminated Ukrainian "Dnipro-1" from the Europa League playoff round match. Due to Russia's military invasion, Dynamo players are forced to play their home European matches in Poland. However, while they played qualification matches for the Champions League in Łódź, they host opponents in Kraków for the Europa League. It should be noted that today Mircea Lucescu could not count on injured Shaparenko, Bushchan, and Popov.
Unfortunately, at the 8th minute, the Cypriot team took the lead — Dürçeo brilliantly converted a penalty. Interestingly, the Hungarian scored against "Dnipro-1" in the playoff round as well. Later, Boyko managed to send the ball into the far corner of Pirich's goal after Dubynchak's pass, but the referee canceled the goal after reviewing the replay and called an offside on Vladyslav. Before halftime, one can note Harmash's inaccurate attempt from a corner kick and Sidorchuk's long shot that went wide.
In the second half, AKE played with the lead, while Dynamo players could not find keys to their opponent’s goal. Syrota marked himself with two inaccurate shots. In Cypriot team, Olatunji had a chance in the box. However, the score did not change at all, so the white-and-blue team lost again in the Europa League.
In Dynamo's lineup for the match were players called up for the upcoming national team training camp: Zabarnyi, Sidorchuk (yellow card), Tsygankov, Karavaev (substituted on at 68).
