Kyiv "Dynamo" started its eighth time in the history of the group stage of the Europa League. In the first round, the Kyiv team faced Turkish "Fenerbahçe," which they managed to overcome in a two-legged qualification match for the Champions League in July.overcame.

Shortly after, Shaparenko was injured and replaced by Shepeliev. A few minutes later, Volodymyr executed a set piece, but Boyalyskyi's header was saved by the goalkeeper.

However, the Turks managed to snatch victory. First, on 90 minutes, Valencia headed dangerously over Bushchan's goal line. In stoppage time, Batshuayi scored from distance – 2:1.
