General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 06:00 05.09.2022)

Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 05.09.2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The ninety-fourth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to concentrate efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk Oblast, holding occupied areas in Kherson, parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv oblasts, as well as creating favorable conditions for resuming an offensive. The enemy is searching for weak spots in our defense and attempting to improve tactical positions on certain fronts.

There remains a threat of massive air and missile strikes against military and critical infrastructure across the entire territory of Ukraine. In the Black Sea, cruise missiles "Kalibr" are ready for use.

During the past day, the enemy carried out 25 missile and over 22 aerial attacks on military and civilian objects in Ukraine. Civilian infrastructure was damaged in the areas of Kharkiv, Dmitrivka, Kostiantynivka, Zelenopillya, Zaytseve, Kodema, Siversk, Mykolaiv, Voznesensk, Ochakiv, Sukhyi Stavok and Bezimenne.

On the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the situation remains unchanged. There is a threat of missile and aerial strikes from the air space and territory of Belarus.

On other fronts, the enemy shelled military and civilian infrastructure with tanks, combat vehicles, mortars, artillery and rocket launchers:

on the Northern front, the enemy carried out attacks on civilian and military infrastructure in more than 10 populated areas. The most affected were Gasiachivka, Yanzhulivka, Mykolayivka, Mykhailchyna Sloboda of Chernihiv Oblast and Novovasylivka, Nova Huta, Seredina-Buda, Bachivsk, Yastrubine, Smoline of Sumy Oblast;

on the Kharkiv front, the enemy inflicted damage in the areas of Demenitievka, Novo, Odnrovivka, Borchova, Sosnovka, Udi, Ruski Tishky, Pitomnik, Ruska Lozova, Slobozhanske, Momotove, Pyryvka, Bayrak, Husaryvka, Chepyl and Mospanovoe. Drones were used to correct artillery fire;

on the Slavyansk front, populated areas of Krasnopillya, Dybriwne, Vyrnopillya and Bogorodichne were shelled by the occupiers. The enemy carried out an aerial strike on the populated area of Dmitrivka;

on the Kramatorsk front, the enemy carried out attacks in the areas of Pyskunivka, Donetsk, Krivoy Lukha, Severna and Spirnoe;

on the Bakhmut front, the enemy shelled the areas of Bilohorivka, Vesela, Zaytseve, Kodema, Mayorovsk, Bakhmutse, Siversk, Bakhmut and Mykolayivka. In addition, an aerial strike was carried out near Kostiantynivka, Zelenopillya, Zaytseve, Kodema and Siversk;

on the Avdiyivka front, populated areas of Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Avdiyivka and Vodyane were shelled with mortars and artillery;

on the Novopavlivsk front, the enemy did not conduct active offensive actions but carried out attacks in the areas of Novomikhaylivka, Paraskevievka, Kermenchik and Vremivka;

on the Zaporizhzhia front, the enemy shelled the areas of Novopol and Novosilky;

on the Southern Bug front, the enemy is conducting defensive actions, carrying out attacks in the areas of Miren, Stepova Dolyna, Oleksandrivka, Tavriyske, Partizanske, Olgine, Kiselivka, Kobzarky, Bila Krinitsa, Andreyivka, Novovoskresenske, Myronivka and Lubymivka. Enemy aerial strikes hit the areas of Berizhneuvatoye, Bezimenne, Velykyi Artakove, Sukhyi Stavok and Bila Krinitsa. Drones were used to correct artillery fire.

After intense shelling by the Defense Forces in Kherson Oblast, Russian occupiers have imposed a ban on movement for local residents. People are prohibited from crossing the Dnipro river via bridges or boats. Violators face threats of being targeted with gunfire.

Forced mobilization continues in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In Donetsk, Russian occupiers found new sources to replenish losses in manpower. Recently, representatives of the Russian occupation army and security forces began arriving at local hospitals "discharging" patients. Among those discharged are men of conscription age with various illnesses or injuries, including those wounded during combat operations.

Already for the second time, military personnel of the 2nd Army Corps have noted discrimination in their status compared to Russian soldiers. The manpower composition of units within this army corps does not receive certain declared bonuses, unlike Russian soldiers in other military units. Moreover, there is no quality medical support. This significantly affects the deterioration of the moral and psychological state of the personnel.

Defense Forces continue to conduct defensive operations, maintaining designated positions and preventing enemy advances into Ukrainian territory.

Units of our forces successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Bakhmutse, Vesela Dolyna, Zaytseve, Kodema and Siversk on the Bakhmut front, as well as in the areas of Perevomayske, Vodyane and Nevelske on the Avdiyivka front.

Air Force units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to repel missile-air strikes and air attacks by the enemy, effectively providing cover for critical objects in Ukraine.

During the day, aviation of the Defense Forces carried out more than 30 strikes aimed at damaging manpower, combat and special equipment, as well as military facilities.

Rocket forces and artillery units of ground troops continue to perform tasks related to counter-battery fire, disrupting command systems, logistical support, destroying anti-aircraft defense means, firing positions and manpower of the enemy. During the past day, missile strikes were carried out and artillery fire was directed at command posts of various levels, ammunition depots of strategic importance, areas with concentrated combat equipment and personnel, as well as other important targets.

As a result of effective artillery strikes on enemy concentrations near populated areas of Semenivka and Kupyansk in Kharkiv Oblast, Russian occupiers suffered losses. One field ammunition depot was destroyed along with manpower and military equipment. Losses are being verified.

We support the Armed Forces of Ukraine! We make victory together! Glory to Ukraine!
