On one hand, our forward participated in all the tournaments where the «Eagles» played and overall made 43 appearances for them. He also played exactly as many games during the 2020/2021 season when he was with Belgian «Gent». On the other hand, his goal-scoring productivity dropped significantly. While in Belgium last season Roman scored 31 points on the «goal+assist» system (23+8), in Portugal it was only 15 (9+6). However, it is important to note that this was his debut in a new league and also a higher level of expectations, opponents, and matches.

Out of the four tournaments where «Benfica» played, Yaremchuk scored goals in two — in the Portuguese league and the UEFA Champions League. But among his victims were such teams as «Porto», «Ajax», «Liverpool», and Kyiv's «Dynamo»…

If nothing unexpected happens, one can say with a small degree of optimism that the second season for the Ukrainian player in Portugal will be more productive. In any case, we all hope so.
