In the first half of the season, he played for «Dnipro-1» in the UPL and Ukrainian Cup, scoring three goals and receiving five yellow cards. In the second half, he plunged into a much stronger league, France's Ligue 1, where with Bordeaux he appeared in 11 matches, providing three key assists and accumulating three yellow and one red card, which came in his debut match for the Girondins.

However, this harsh treatment did not clip the wings of Ignatenko or the coaching staff who maintained their trust in our boy. After serving a standard suspension, he participated in 10 out of the next 14 matches for Bordeaux, and in seven of them played the entire duration.

Unfortunately, his inspired play did not save Bordeaux from relegation from France's top division, but it is still unknown whether Ignatenko will remain with this team. The loan agreement between Bordeaux and Shakhtar, to whom the player belongs, expires on June 30.
