Today, the Ukraine national team left Brdo, where they had been preparing for a whole month. During this time, the staff of Hotel "Elegance" and employees of the Football Association of Slovenia became reliable friends to the blue-and-yellow team, assisting them in everything.
So, a group photo in front of the hotel that served as a quiet home for Ukrainians for 30 days is a logical symbol of well-coordinated teamwork over an extended period. Both managers and administrators, cooks, and staff from the training center became, without exaggeration, an integral part of our team here in Slovenia, constantly inspiring the boys with their sincere smiles, words of support and belief in Ukraine while professionally performing their duties.

General Manager of "Elegance," Marijan Grubar, admitted that he simply cannot express in words his feeling of pride that the national team of Ukraine chose this hotel for preparation: "We will cheer for you with all our hearts during the matches in Glasgow and, we hope, in Cardiff. But this gift we prepared for you after the match against Wales."
Due to obvious reasons, the impressive bottle of champagne was postponed until later by the administrative staff of the team. Instead, they gratefully presented the hotel with a football shirt signed by all players and the head coach.

Morning training took place in sunny weather. After a rainy weekend, clouds over Brdo dispersed, and the park returned to what could be called typical May weather here. Today's session was essentially a general rehearsal for the match against Scotland, as there is one more official training session remaining — on the pitch of Hampden Park stadium.

After warm-up and squares, the team polished elements of their tactical model, which they have been working on during the final stretch of preparation. Twenty-four players participated in the session. Denis Popov completed his rehabilitation program today and worked with the ball — individually for now, but tomorrow the defender is expected to return to the main group.

After lunch, the Ukraine national team headed to Ljubljana airport from where a charter flight was scheduled for 16:45 CET to Glasgow. All 25 players present at the camp flew to Scotland. Andriy Lunin will join the team today in the Crowne Plaza hotel, where blue-and-yellow stayed last summer during Euro and this time will reside for the next three days.

Tomorrow's program in Glasgow includes an official pre-match training session at Hampden Park (start time 7 PM local time). Half an hour before that, Oleksandr Petrakov and a player from the national team will meet with representatives of the media in the arena conference room. Ukrainian media unable to travel to Glasgow will have the opportunity to ask their questions via Zoom (the relevant link will be posted on UAF's media channel).
