In late May in Ukraine, the premiere of the documentary film "Five Finals" will take place. The film was created by producers Pavlo Cherepyn, Taras Heregoy, Heroes Films studio, and company "Epiconter."

The film "Five Finals" is an inside look at the preparation of Ukraine's national football team for the qualification matches of the 2022 World Cup under the leadership of head coach Oleksandr Petrakov. The title of the film refers to the nearest front in the work from the new mentor of the team.

The premiere of the film "Five Finals" was originally scheduled for March this year, the day before the semi-final qualification playoff match against Scotland. As of February 24, the film was 75% complete, but the editing base and all materials (35 shooting sessions with three to four cameras each and over 60 edits) ended up in one of the hottest spots during the first days of the war. Thanks to support from project partners, the team managed to evacuate the server with working materials and finish work on the film already practically in bomb shelters, in various corners of Ukraine.

"It was crucial for us to complete and release the film now, at a time when people need faith and motivation. And this short film is full of faith, good humor, inspiration, and love for Ukraine," says co-author Taras Heregoy.

The film became a logical continuation of the first documentary series - "Special Atmosphere", created by the team before Euro-2020. The current picture received positive reviews from experts and viewers and made it to the official selection of international documentary film awards.

According to the words of producer and director Pavlo Cherepyn, fans of their favorite game will be able to peek behind the scenes of Ukraine's national football team, see training sessions, including "secret" ones, tactics, instructions, disappointments, and joy of the national football team.

The authors and screenwriters of the film also talked about how the character of the team was forged, how the new coach inspired players, and they in turn believed and supported Oleksandr Petrakov.

"An undefeated Ukrainian character is already a brand for the entire civilized world. The character of the football team has the same DNA. Therefore, we have all chances to win against Scotland," Cherepyn is confident.

To see how the character of the team was forged in the World Cup qualification, you can watch the film on Football TV channels, NLO TV, oll.tv platform, and digital platforms of Football TV channels. Behind-the-scenes footage and materials that did not make it to air will soon appear on the YouTube channel Fantastic Football.
