Note for your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on May 19, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The eighty-fifth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone. Main efforts are concentrated on the Donetsk axis.

On the Volyn and Polesie axes, the situation remains unchanged significantly. There is a threat of missile-bombardment strikes from Belarusian territory against civilian and military infrastructure in Ukraine.

On the Northern axis, enemy units continue to equip additional firing positions and defensive structures in border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions.

From artillery and mortar, the enemy carried out shelling of populated areas in Chernihiv and Sumy regions, inflicted a rocket strike on the town of Desna. Continues attempts to conduct aerial reconnaissance using UAVs in the specified axis.

On the Kharkiv axis, main efforts of the occupiers were focused on holding occupied lines, conducting counterattacks aimed at restoring lost positions. Enemy involvement of sabotage-reconnaissance groups is noted.

On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy attempts to improve tactical position. With artillery support carried out combat actions in the area of the populated place of Velyka Komishyva, did not succeed, on certain sectors suffered significant losses and was forced to retreat to previously occupied positions.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy conducted shelling of civilian infrastructure, inflicted rocket strikes and attempted to consolidate on previously occupied positions. Applied tactical and army aviation with the aim of destroying civilian objects in areas of populated places Loskutivka, Katerinivka, Novomykhailivka and Orilove.

On the Severodonetsk axis, occupiers conducted offensive actions and carried out assault operations in the area of the populated place of Ustynivka, did not succeed.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy conducted offensive actions aimed at improving tactical position. Attempted to carry out assault operations in the area of the populated place of Zolote-4, did not succeed.

On the Avdiivka axis, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the area of the populated place of Yuryivka, suffered losses and retreated. As a result of assault operations in areas of populated places Novokalynove and Pervomaiske did not succeed.

On the Kurakhiv axis, the enemy unsuccessfully carried out offensive actions in the area of the populated place of Novomykhailivka.

On the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhia axes, the enemy did not conduct active combat operations. With artillery fire, inflicted infrastructure and civilian housing in areas of populated places Hulyaypilske, Novodanilivka, Maliyivka and Hulyaypole.

According to available information, in the area of the populated place of Oleksandrivka with the aim of replenishing losses of over 50% of the 107th Rifle Battalion, reinforcements totaling 260 servicemen who were previously involved on the Kharkiv axis arrived.

On the South Buzhak axis, occupiers did not conduct active combat operations. Main efforts are concentrated on holding occupied lines. The enemy carried out shelling with mortars, artillery and rocket fire in areas of populated places Limany, Pryshyb, Trudolyubivka and Novovorontsovka.

On the Bessarabian axis, significant changes were not recorded.

Due to the lack of mobilization resources on temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk region, the occupation military command plans to involve students from higher educational institutions into combat operations.

Over the previous day, units of anti-aircraft missile troops destroyed one aircraft and a cruise missile. Strike aviation of air forces inflicted strikes against enemy equipment concentration, according to preliminary data, about 20 armored vehicles, ammunition and personnel stores were destroyed.

On the Donetsk and Luhansk axes over the previous day, sixteen enemy attacks were repelled, eight tanks, seventeen units of combat armored vehicles, four special armored cars and six regular cars of the enemy were destroyed.
