The head coach of the Ukrainian national futsal team, Oleksandr Kosenko answered journalists' questions ahead of tomorrow's Euro-2022 semi-final match against Russia in Amsterdam (kick-off at 18.00 Kyiv time).

— The biggest problems the team had were during the game against the Netherlands national team. Then we talked about the emotional component. Now, the Ukrainian national team has qualified for the Euro-2022 semi-finals. The pressure on the boys is much greater considering the stage and the significance of the opponent. Did you find the right words to motivate your players so they only think about futsal?

— Indeed, this was the opening match. Somewhere we couldn't cope with certain pressure and nervousness. This affected the team's performance. After that game, we received a lot of criticism directed at us. In fact, we only became stronger. The team went through such difficult moments and now fears nothing. We have reached a serious stage, but we are not stopping there. I am confident that the boys will put in maximum effort to achieve a positive result and delight our country with a victory.

— Considering the opponent, will you adhere to Fair Play?

— UEFA supports fair play rules. We do too. The upcoming match is no exception. We will stick to these principles. We are focusing on the sporting aspect of the confrontation. Futsal will decide everything. Fair Play has not been canceled.

— Today it became known that tomorrow's match will be broadcast on a large screen at Gulliver shopping center in Kyiv. Do you feel remote support, considering the limited number of spectators?

— Of course, this match is generating great interest among many people. The fact that it will be shown for fans on a large screen in the city center serves as additional confirmation of this. Support is definitely felt. Due to COVID norms, we live in a certain vacuum. Thank you all for your support! Tomorrow we will put in maximum effort to repay everyone with a victory!
