Tuesday, April 8 in the English city of Burton upon Trent, Ukraine's WU-19 women's national team will play a match in the second qualifying round for the 2025 European Championship. The opponents of the blue and yellow team will be the hosts (kickoff at 16:00 Kyiv time).

We remind you that in their group during the first round's L Group, Ukraine's women's youth national team secured first place and advanced to the A League.

In the first match of the mini-tournament, our girls were supposed to face Austria, but the game did not take place. The reason was that the British visas for our team were not issued in time despite the Ukrainian delegation completing all necessary procedures within the set deadlines and submitting documents on March 12. Therefore, Ukraine's WU-19 national team received a technical loss with a score of 0:3.

Unfortunately, after losing to Belgium (1:4), following two matches, Ukraine's WU-19 lost their chance to rise above the last place and dropped down to the B League for the next cycle, Euro-2026. The final match of the second qualifying round will be played by Oleh Bortnik's wards against England on April 8.

In the second qualifying round, seven teams will be determined to join Poland in the final stage of the European Championship for women under 19 years old. Additionally, teams moving between leagues will be decided. Despite automatic qualification into the finals, Poland participates in the qualifiers. The seeding for the draw of the second round was based on the positions that the teams held after the first round.

In the A League, 28 teams are playing across seven groups, including seven teams that advanced from B League following the results of the first round. Seven group winners in the A League and one runner-up (if Poland finishes first) will secure spots for the final stage. Teams finishing fourth in their groups will start the season-2025/2026 in the B League.

In the B League, 23 teams across six groups are competing for promotion to A League qualification matches of the next cycle.

The mini-tournaments of the second qualifying round will conclude by April 8, 2025, and the final stage will take place from June 15-27.
