This year, Nikolai Kostenko's wards began their season preparation in the first half of June. The Ukraine team worked out twice a week at Kyiv's Hydropark. The next training camp in Kyiv took place at the beginning of July as part of the preparations for the qualifying stage of Euroleague-2024 in Division B.

The blue-and-yellow team participated in this tournament in Batumi from July 17 to 21. In group matches, Ukrainians lost to Lebanon (6:1), Saudi Arabia (6:1) and UAE (5:2), securing a place in the semifinals. There, our team defeated Latvia (4:0) and advanced to the final. In the decisive match, Ukraine's national team once again beat UAE (4:2) and became the champion of Euroleague-2024 in Division B.

From October 4 to 13, the Ukrainian national team participated in a European qualifying tournament for the CHS-2025 in Cadiz, Spain. In the first group match, Nikolai Kostenko's wards crushed Norway (8:2), while in the second they lost to Poland (1:8). In the third game, Ukrainians once again defeated Norwegians (6:2) and qualified for the playoff round. However, in a knockout match for qualification into the second group stage of the tournament, blue-and-yellow team lost to France in overtime (4:5 OT), thus concluding their European qualifying campaign.

Thus, this year Ukraine's national team played nine official matches. They won seven and lost twice (goal difference - 44-23). The best scorer of the season in blue-and-yellow was Oleh Zborovskyy with ten goals scored.

In the world ranking of BSWW, Ukraine's national team holds the 20th position (775.75 points).
