President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about two important meetings in Zaporizhzhia and his phone calls with German Chancellor Scholz, UK Prime Minister Sunak, and Bulgarian Prime Minister Denkov.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Just now I held two important meetings in Zaporizhzhia. An operational one with the military, with Generals Taranovsky, Moskalov, Litvinov and everyone responsible for defense here, specifically in Zaporizhzhia. The second meeting was essentially a national one regarding fortifications. On all main fronts where reinforcement is needed, accelerating construction of structures. Of course, this primarily concerns Avdiivka, Mariupol and other directions in Donets'k - maximum attention there. Kharkiv region - the Kupyansk direction, also the defensive line from Kupyansk to Lyman. And all of Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Rivne regions, Volyn'. And also south - Kherson Oblast. There were reports by oblast authorities and all relevant military leaders. Defense Minister Umeyrov, General Pavlyuk. We discussed resource mobilization, motivation, including private business involvement in this work, financing. The priority is clear. I am grateful to everyone working on such construction, producing materials. We also discussed the needs for which we will be working with partners to strengthen our defensive lines. Special attention - building shelters in schools, especially here in Zaporizhzhia and the oblast, so that children can study at least in a hybrid format - both offline.

I was in Kharkiv today. A good, emotional meeting in the metro school - an extremely useful, correct project. Children are studying in classes as in a regular school but underground - in the shelter that is the metro. I spoke with boys and girls - bright eyes, bright minds and very bright school. Thanks to this there is a future when we have such children. I am convinced of this. I had the honor to award teachers from Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast, from different cities who work in Ukraine for Ukraine.

This morning I was in Kupyansk - it's important to support our city, our defenders. Held a meeting with General Syrskyi, commanders fighting on the Kupyansk front. Awarded five officers present and asked separately to award soldiers, sergeants, and junior officers. Thank you, warriors, for your steadfastness, for daily hard work!

Today I also held three phone calls. German Chancellor Scholz, UK Prime Minister Sunak, Bulgarian Prime Minister Denkov. There is much to thank our partners for: our agreements - between Ukraine and Germany, Ukraine and the UK, Ukraine and Bulgaria - all are being fulfilled. We outlined new joint steps as well. Protecting our people. Protecting our Europe. Protecting international law order. I thank everyone around the world who helps Ukraine!
