President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about extremely difficult weather conditions in southern regions of the country and intense battles on the Donetsk and Kupyansk fronts.

"I wish health to all citizens of Ukraine,

Today, there are extremely difficult weather conditions over a significant territory of our state. Particularly challenging is in southern regions of Ukraine. Our DSNС units, the National Police, communal services, and local authorities will work around the clock.

I ask all citizens in areas affected by the disaster to be extremely cautious. If necessary, please contact the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Police, or other state and communal structures. As soon as possible, our energy workers are restoring electricity supply to towns and villages where there is currently a temporary power outage due to the disaster. At this time, this affects nearly 400 populated areas in ten regions. In particular, operational headquarters have already been set up and are operating in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions. Special equipment has been deployed on roads where necessary. I want to thank everyone who is involved now and will continue working tomorrow to protect against this disaster and restore normal living conditions for all our Ukrainian communities.

Now, when it's so difficult, under such conditions, we must be especially grateful to those who are defending our state, carrying out Ukrainian offensive operations, on the front lines, at battle posts, in mobile fire groups and in all other units that protect Ukraine, the life of our country, and our independence.

Intense battles continue without pause on Donetsk fronts, Kharkiv region — Kupyansk direction. Our soldiers also hold positions in southern regions of the state: Zaporizhzhia region, our Kherson region.

I want to thank everyone who justly responds to Russian terrorist attacks, repels enemy assaults and does so under such conditions.

This week in particular, soldier Oleh Danilchenko, medical personnel of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, senior soldier Oleksiy Tokarev, junior sergeant Mykola Tischenko — both from the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, — senior soldier Yaroslav Bazyl', and junior sergeants Ihor Ponomarenko and Serhiy Kashirin — all three from the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, — soldier Andrii Shabelnyk — a soldier of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, sergeant Andriy Targonyi, 80th Separate Assault Brigade, junior sergeant Ihor Shapran — a soldier of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, and also soldier Oleksandr Voronenko, 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.

I thank each one of you soldiers, all your comrades-in-arms, everyone who helps our brigades, all Ukrainian defense and security forces working on our defense production, supplying everything Ukraine needs, our people, those treating the wounded, training our soldiers, organizing volunteer collections for Ukrainian strength.

One cannot be indifferent to the defense. Glory to all our people who understand this, fight, work, and help for Ukraine and Ukrainians! In unity we are — strength!
