After the first matches of the UEFA Champions League qualifying playoff round, Ukraine unfortunately dropped to 17th place in the UEFA coefficient table for the five-year cycle 2019/2020–2023/2024 and complicated its situation in the fight for a top-15 spot to retain two Europa League berths.

Five domestic clubs started the season-2023/2024, and one of them has already dropped out — "Vorskla" lost to "Dijon" (1:3) and was eliminated from the Conference League.

This week Ukraine performed very modestly: "Dynamo" in the Conference League lost to "Besiktas" (2:3), while "Zorya" in the Europa League was defeated by "Slavia" (0:2). Only "Dnipro-1" managed to add a half-point (0.1) — thanks to a draw (1:1) with "Spartak" in the Conference League.

The total points for Ukraine are 25.400, and it has participated with four teams out of five possible.
