On July 5 of this year, the director of national associations at UEFA, Zoran Laković, sent a letter addressed to First Vice President of the Ukrainian Football Association Anatoliy Demchenko regarding the situation surrounding the UAF and cases against the association's leadership.

Dear First Vice President,

We refer to your letter dated June 20, 2023, concerning the current investigations against Mr. Andriy Pyvovarov, president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).

With great concern, we note the circumstances that led to the case being transferred from Kyiv to Lviv and further decisions regarding changing the preventive measure for Mr. Pyvovarov to house arrest.

We were informed that an appeal against this decision has been filed with the Lviv Appellate Court, and a hearing is scheduled for July 7, 2023, after it was initially planned for June 30, 2023. We kindly request you to promptly inform us of any further developments.

Finally, we wish to assure you that we will continue to closely monitor this matter and continuously evaluate the necessity of taking any additional measures. This may include assessing potential violations of UEFA's Statutes, particularly regarding the obligation of the UAF to govern and control its affairs independently.
