Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred ninety-seventh day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our state has begun.

Forces of Defense of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdyansk axes, consolidate on gained lines, deliver artillery fire strikes on identified targets of the enemy, and carry out counter-battery measures.

On the Bakhmut axis, our troops continue to conduct offensive actions. North and south of the city of Bakhmut, they are exerting pressure on the enemy, driving them from previously occupied lines. In the area of Klishchevka, there has been partial success, consolidating on gained lines. The enemy is putting up fierce resistance, using reserves, suffering significant losses. Heavy fighting continues.

During the past day, the enemy carried out a missile strike against the city of Pervomaisk and the village of Belyi Kolyazh in Kharkiv Oblast. Additionally, 47 air strikes were recorded, and 59 attacks with multiple rocket launchers were conducted on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, civilians suffered casualties; residential buildings, agricultural and administrative structures, as well as private motor vehicles were damaged.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka axes; heavy fighting continues. During the day, 40 combat engagements took place.

On the Volyn and Polissya axes, the operational situation — no significant changes.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes, the enemy maintains a military presence, has intensified subversive-reconnaissance activities in border areas with Ukraine. During the past day, it carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 15 populated areas. This includes Girske, Karpovychi, Mykhailchyna Sloboda, Chaykine Chernihiv Oblast; Seredina-Buda, Vovkivka, Miropillia, Riasne Sumy Oblast and Odnorobivka, Udi, Vovchan'sk, Ohrymovka, Zemlyanka Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk axis, the enemy attempted to advance in the area south of Novoselivskiy Luhansk Oblast. Our warriors steadfastly hold the defense — repelling all enemy attacks. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy was suffered by Otradne, Novomlyn'sk, Dvorychyna, Zapadne, Kupyansk, Masutivka, and Kislivka Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman axis, during the day with air support, the enemy made attempts to drive our troops from occupied positions in areas west of Novovodyane and south of Dybrove Luhansk Oblast; it was unsuccessful. Artillery shelling was suffered by more than 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Bihorivka Luhansk Oblast and Verkhnyokamyanske, Berestove, Vesele, Rozdolyvka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut axis, under heavy air and artillery fire from the enemy, our defenders successfully repelled attacks in areas of populated places Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Bogdanivka Donetsk Oblast. At the same time, our warriors continue to conduct offensive actions south and north of the city of Bakhmut, consolidating on gained lines. From enemy artillery shelling, more than 15 populated areas suffered casualties, including Vasukivka, Markove, Bogdanivka, Khromove, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Klishchevka, Oleksandro-Shul'tine and Pivnichne Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka axis, Forces of Defense continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of the city of Avdiivka Donetsk Oblast. At the same time, the enemy carried out artillery shelling of more than 10 populated areas; among them were Ocheretyno, Berdychi, Stepole, Avdiivka, Tonikane and Pervomayske Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariinka axis, under enemy artillery fire, our defenders repelled all attacks in the area of the city of Mariinka. The enemy carried out shelling of more than 10 populated areas; among them were Krasnogorivka, Georgiyevka, Gostre, Mariinka and Pobeda Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, the enemy carried out an air strike in the area of Vuhledar Donetsk Oblast. Carried out shelling of more than 15 populated areas, including Novomikhaylivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka, Prechystivka, Makarivka and Zelenoye Pole Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson axes, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts to prevent our troops from advancing. Carried out an air strike in the area of Rovenpole Zaporizhzhya Oblast. Conducted artillery shelling of more than 30 populated areas, including Levadne, Olhyvskoye, Maliyivka, Hulyaypol'e, Bihor'ya Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Zmiyevka, Lvov, Tokaryvka, Antonivka, Velyten'ske and Stanislav Kherson Oblast as well as the city of Kherson.

Due to catastrophic losses in manpower, command of Russian terrorist forces is forced to replenish its units with former prisoners from Russian correctional colonies. Command of the 20th army of occupation forces of the RF attempts to refrain from recruiting its military units stationed on temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast with former inmates due to, let's say mildly, inadequate level of military training, increased risks of desertion and displays of insubordination.

In temporarily occupied Skadovsk and Henichesk Kherson Oblast an increase in cases of acute gastrointestinal infections has been noted. By the nature of the disease it shows signs of cholera. The so-called «authority» of occupation does not recognize the rise in illness, attempts to hide the worsening sanitary-epidemiological situation in the region and has begun covert vaccination against cholera representatives of so-called «administrations» and their immediate environment.

Aviation of Forces of Defense of Ukraine over the past day carried out 13 strikes on areas of enemy manpower concentration, three — on anti-aircraft missile systems and one — on an enemy command post. In addition, our defenders destroyed five reconnaissance UAVs at the operational-tactical level.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery during the day struck areas of manpower concentration, weapons and military equipment of the enemy, four ammunition depots, 18 artillery systems on firing positions, three anti-aircraft defense means and two stations for radio-electronic warfare of the enemy.

During the past day Ukrainian warriors liquidated 670 Russian occupiers, three tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, 36 artillery systems, nine MLRS, one air defense system, 12 UAVs at the operational-tactical level, 22 vehicles and eight units of special equipment.
