President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about his work in Donbas and Kharkiv region as well as the need for the freedom of our Crimean Tatar community.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Today I am working in the regions. Donbas — frontline, our soldiers, the region. Then — Kharkiv region. The situation in Kharkiv, at the border, in all districts of the region, restoration, protection of critical infrastructure.

I started from the front line, from the Bakhmut area. It is an honor for me — to support our soldiers who defend the state under the most severe frontline conditions. I presented state awards, thanked our fighters for their bravery, for their resilience, for Ukraine that we preserve thanks to such heroes, thanks to everyone and every person fighting against Russian evil.

I visited wounded soldiers. Wished them — and I am sure I wished on behalf of all of you, all our people — a speedy recovery.

Thanked the doctors, medical sisters. And now I want to thank everyone who supports our soldiers recovering from injuries. Who helps with everything needed, our doctors, everyone working for rehabilitation after injuries. I am grateful to every volunteer, every partner of ours who is helping!

It hurts to see the cities of Donbas that Russia brought terrible suffering and ruin to. Almost constant, hourly air raid sirens in Kramatorsk, a constant threat of shelling, a constant threat to life... It is precisely there, on Donbas, on Kharkiv region, — everywhere where Russian evil came, it is clear that the state-terrorist cannot be stopped by anything else but one thing — our victory. And we will secure it — Ukrainian victory.

In all districts of our country's east, wherever there is a Ukrainian flag, hope exists too. This can be felt. We will do everything to ensure that the blue and yellow colors continue their liberating movement, to return normal life to all our land, from Donetsk to the border.

We will definitely respond to each occupier's strike on our cities... Today's Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia, night attack on Kyiv region... All of Russia's strikes receive both military and political and legal responses.

Russia is losing this war. There is no subject in the world that does not feel this already now. Everyone understands it all. And every Russian murderer must understand: an arrest warrant — is the best thing that can happen to them.

My condolences to all our people who lost their loved ones and close ones due to Russian terror!

For the second half of the day, my team and I worked in Kharkiv region. Just as in Donetsk, we held a meeting about the situation in the region, social and security needs.

It is very important that Kharkiv holds strong. Well done! Thank you to all Kharkiv residents! Keep holding on firmly. The city lives, the city fights, Kharkiv gives strength to our entire east. I thank everyone who stayed in Kharkiv, who works, who provides work for others, who ensures security and protects the border! Thanks to everyone — at positions, posts, critical infrastructure objects, communal workers, local authorities, business, educators...

Representatives of the region informed me about some issues that need to be resolved by the government for stable social support for all who work for our people in Kharkiv region. We discussed these issues. Discussed reconstruction, humanitarian aid, restoration of energy networks. Everything within the government's competence will definitely be done.

And, of course, it was very pleasant to present Kharkiv with a special badge. The badge of a hero city, a ribbon on the city flag that marks the exceptional bravery of Kharkiv residents.

And one more thing.

Tonight begins the sacred month of Ramadan for Muslims. A significant part of our Ukrainian Muslim community, Crimean Tatar people, are forced to celebrate Ramadan under occupation in Crimea, under threat of Russian repression and humiliation, under shelling in other parts of Ukraine, and fighting on the front line.

I have no doubt: we will return freedom, respect, security to our entire country, to all communities. And may the power of prayer during this sacred month help us cleanse Ukraine from Russian godless evil, from those who do not truly believe in anything and are therefore capable of such terror. May the next Ramadan begin in peace on all free Ukrainian land. Ramadan Mubarak!
